    Slaving peon.
Not here; not there; not anywhere!
Being able to reorganize my apps within itunes is great! Organizing them on my Touch is a pain in the ass, not to mention awfully time-consuming. That finally makes it feel like that the paid 3.0 upgrade for my Touch was worth it.

It's a bit odd that two-thirds of my apps show up as "other" now, but it ain't no biggie. They still show up the same way on my Touch as they did before, and that's all I care about.

I tend to notice tiny changes with updates =S

Anyone else feel that the home button response time is much faster?

I just downloaded and installed 3.1 onto my iPhone 1st gen... No applications will open!

I tried using maps, which worked, but when trying to play anything from the AppStore the title opens for a sec then takes me to the home screen.

    This is bull =(

Installed on 3GS just fine. My 13 pages of app went to 11 pages though.

The trick to extend beyond 11 pages still works (pushing Voice Memos App off the last page) but everytime you change something in the Application tab in iTunes (the one for your device, not the Library Application page) and click sync, it will reset to 11 pages again. Looks like I wont be arranging my apps from iTunes anytime soon.

This sounds bad. I'm on 3GS and I have 15 pages. 16 on my iPod Touch. Now I'm hesitant to upgrade the os :(

Lol... Well, I think its not the OS thats causing the problem, its iTunes 9. iTunes 9 is the one with the new Application rearranging feature. If anything, the 3.1 OS still allows us to break the 11 page limit :)

I dont know though. Maybe someone with iTunes 8 but OS 3.1 can give it a try (fingers crossed) :p

you can always go back if you don't like it...

Since 3.1 was acting weird on my first gen I went back to 3.0. My 3gs is working fine though

    OS 3.3.1 - 12 pages!

I have to toy with it more, but here's what has happened to me so far:

After iTunes 9 and upgrading my iPod Touch to 3.1.1 I still had 16 pages, only 11 of which show in iTunes.

So, I started playing around with apps in iTunes, which of course prompted me to apply my settings as usual - so I did.

Then iTunes entered a massive backup (I guess since it was my first since the new OS - I eventually ended up canceling it since it was time for me to leave ) and after that I had 12 pages, with the very familiar Voice Memos app at the end of page 1 and Flight Control all by itself on page 2.

So - it seems that the OS upgrade does try to eat your extra pages, but I ended up with an extra one anyway.

I haven't synced again yet this morning to see if that will change or not...

I installed the 3.1 update before installing iTunes 9, didnt think it would be that big of a deal. But it seems to have caused an error worthy of wiping my ipod back to factory settings.
and so i swing back from 'iTunes is lovely' to 'iTunes is a huge pain'
