iPhone OS 3.0 OUT NOW!

can someone take a screenshot of what it looks like once you hit settings?

I don't have the option to turn on/off push like I used to..

 

The option isn't there any more.

 

you've never had the ability to turn push on before, it's a new feature on 3.0 . unless you're talking about turning push on and off in the email settings but that's an entirely different thing.
-when you install a game that has push features, then and only then will the push option appear in settings.

did they add any extra room on the springboard, any more than 9 pages? im hoping for at least 12

 

they added 11 pages, but you shouldn't worry about it cause now there's spotlight

 

I wasn't talking about syncing, you also mentioned that iTunes said it was timing out which is what happens on Christmas.

Can the update go on more than one iPod if they're all on the same Apple account? Just making sure, because I don't want to spend $40.

 

Hi did anyone noticed speed improvements with the upgrade of their iDevices because now my iPhone 2G has less lag than usual....And it's almost 3 years old....

 

Yep, feels a little slicker I think, and Safari is now much faster.

 

That's a neat trick considering it was first released on June 27, 2007. I'm assuming you're using the iTimeTravel app?

iTunes has been hammered, so I haven't been able to download anything today.

really? I just came back from work and I just plug in my iPhone and it downloaded like any other non important update and I thought that no one wanted to upgrade....

 

I was able to get a couple of app updates just now, so it's better (although still sluggish compared to normal); earlier all I got were error messages. I wasn't aware of anyone not wanting to upgrade.

Oops, never mind, I'm back to getting error messages again....

I did see that, although being paranoid, I think I'll just wait a while and do it the usual way. Appreciate the link though.

Man, I'm debating on whether or not I should restore my jailbroken iPod Touch to install the update...

 

3.0 just fatally crashed during the update process, and hopefully this restore/back up will bring back my data.....this sucks

 

I've been stuck on the damn backup forever now... I might leave it over night and see what happens?....

 

Same here. If I backed it up normally, it would take probably a fourth or even fifth of the time it does now. >.<
