My iPhone 1G isn't updating.. It says iPhone activation servers are temporarily down or something. Is it because I'm using a deactivated SIM card or is this problem happening to other people?
Ugh, no one wants to answer my questions!! And one more, I don't have the option to turn on or off push.. is that the same for everyone? It used to be right under where I pick my wifi
I want to update so bad but it keeps giving me a connection error. All my internet shit is fine, up and running though, so I am to assume this is because of heavy traffic of iTunes for the new update. It really sucks, I can't even purchase Castle of Magic damnit!!! Anyone else having this problem, or is it literally just me and a horrible connection issue?
Please help me! My ipod touch 2g just updated but when i went to videos it says there are none there and no audio files when it says there is only 10 gb left. Then when syncing it says it cant sync. Is there a way to fix this. If i restore will my app scores get deleted?
Well I've just come from a jb iPod and had a numerical battery, updated, restored and I have the 3.0 numerical battery so I see no reason why it shouldn't be in the settings if the ability to do so is actually there
Yep, thats happening to me (and a lot of other people). I think the update server is either because it is really busy. It says it is 'temporarily down' so hopefully we will be able to download it tomorrow. edit - literally 15 seconds after I wrote this message, I tried again and now it is working. You may want to try again now if you haven't been able to update your iPhone with the new update.
I would download it immediately except for the fact that the iTunes Store is so overloaded with people trying to do the same that I can't even access the update page. >.<
When I try to install in says the servers are temporarily unavailable and I know other people have said this too but how do I fix it so that I can install 3.0?
Nothing you can do right now but wait. It's a problem on Apple's end, so we'll just have to wait till they fix their servers.
Lol, no I have an iPod and there's no way they could charge me. I have no credit/debit/gift card linked to my iTunes account and never have. Cheeckk it out I'm not the only one(sorry if I'm not allowed to post outside sites): Here.
They fixed the app carry system! Now, instead of gesturing the app to the side of the screen if you wanna move it a page, just hold it on the side and it'll keep scrolling! Fixes alot of my organization problems!
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Someone PLEASE help me before I smash the s**t out of my PC. I've downloaded and installed 3.0 and all is working fine. However, iTunes is really testing my patience. There are a couple of my Apps with updates waiting to be downloaded (mostly 3.0 feature updates) but whenever I click on the 'download free updates' button, it loads for a few seconds and then gives me some bulls**t: 'We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The network connection timed out. Make sure your network setings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again'!!!! It's been giving me this same message for ages now, no matter how many time I try. My network connection is FINE as my internet is working no problem. I've restarted my PC and even uninstalled then reinstalled iTunes and it STILL gives me this c**p!!!
Nice find. That always used to bug me when I tried to organise my apps. Although, now the pages have been increased in the update, there is a gap left between the first and other page which has pissed me off somewhat. I used to have my non-game apps on the first few pages and have the games on the last pages, but now the update has messed it all up. The scrolling between pages feels a bit smoother now, but when I opened up safari, I didn't notice any increase in speed which apple claimed the new update would bring.
K.D! just wait until tomorrow. It's happening because Apple's servers are overloading with people trying to download 3.0.
