So, I switched from a Palm - where I had a program (Launcher X) that let me have an initial screen with tabs, that held the pages with all the apps. You have a choice of icons or list - so you can fit a lot more per page, and organizing pages is easy - on the iPhone it is like playing the "15" puzzle game, across multiple pages... Anthing out there that makes organizing the apps on the iPhone easier?
Not that I am aware of unless you jailbreak. Check out Categories for jailbroken devices to see if that is something that fits your needs.
Uhh-- after spending some time googling - is there a site you can recommend. It seems everything just talks about the actual process of jailbreaking, and very little about apps that can be used once you have done that.. sorry if I am being dense..
Check this out: http://appadvice.com/appnn/2009/05/why-jailbreak-stack-and-categories/ Keep in mind if you decide to jailbreak that with OS 3.0 and the jailbreak for OS 3.0 just recently being released, not all jailbreak apps work on OS 3.0 yet. I am not sure if Categories has been updated to work on 3.0 or not. You can check the jailbreak forum here on TA to find out more if you like.
Thanks for the help. I just got one of new 3Gs, and am new to the whole iPhone world... I have never minded modifying my home computers, I am a little more shy about the iphone, due to mostly needing it as a phone, with all the computer capabilities. I will probably wait until the software has been tested, and is not causing problems. But, I might as well start getting the research done.
