I'm shocked...in a good way. My brain can't handle the epicness. THE IPHONE IS COMING TO VERIZON!!!! Proof: I went to Verizon today and talked to a sales rep, asked him about the iPhone and he said "Yep, it's coming and we're starting pre-orders in Christmas." My jaw dropped, but I was sad at the same time because I just got a new phone in April.... So all you Verizon owners, you finally have something to be excited about.
Are you sure he wasn't kidding??? I am pretty sure there would be a press release before some lowly salesman gets the news and spills it. Seems like a joke to me...
Sprint doesn't deserve the iphone, they SUCK. I recently switched to AT&T from sprint and it is SO much better.
I swear he wasn't joking. I asked him "Are you sure." He said with a stern face "Yes." I'm so excited.
I am not saying that you are lying, I am just saying that I find it highly unlikely that HE would be the one to release the news of something this huge.
I'll believe it when I see it.... Not calling you a liar, I'm a salesperson (in cell phones), we're all liars.... Trust me...
Well, would it convince you that after I went to my local Verizon, I went to the busy Verizon (farther away from where I live) and they said the exact same thing. Which is true.
I'm semi-excited. I think I'd rather have my env3 and iPod Touch. Two separate devices, preventing against totally freaking out if I lose the iPhone.
So a rep in a store told you this? Is that like your sisters cousins brothers dog walkers mail mans garbagemans fourth cousin? Give me a break.
He probably knew you were Slapshot from Toucharcade, then he made this joke to see what would happen. I mean... really? No way iPhone is coming to Verizon without some hard solid press releases. Just doesn't seem likely at all.
The idea that a lowly sales rep would have this information before the likes of Macrumors, Engadget is incomprehensible!
It's possible, at least. When I worked at a Papa John's, there was a calendar in the manager's office that anyone could sneak in and look at that listed all the sales and promotions for the whole next year, obviously far before the promotions' commercials aired. Not exactly the same thing, but I think I'll choose to believe it because it makes me happy that AT&T will finally have to compete with another company
Verizon's network is terrible ! Att works the best in my area the only thing I'm looking forward to is more competition to get the rates down.
It's a location thing. Verizon is king where I live. The only reason AT&T is more than just a semi-moderate threat is because of the iPhone.
