I have several apps that are now stuck on "Loading" and I can't delete them by any normal means. When I make the icons wiggle, there's no X by these apps to delete them. I searched the web and couldn't find any great answers so I was hoping someone here has experienced this problem and could help me out.

I've deleted the problem apps from my iTunes and synced the phone several times, but the icons are STILL THERE. I read on some threads that a solution is to re-download the problem apps and it will fix the "Loading" problem, but every time I go to iTunes it says "INSTALLED" where the "Buy" button should be, which is obviously preventing me from redownloading.

    Helpppp!! :(:(

P.S. My phone is *NOT* Jailbroken.

You might have accidentally tapped on the icon while it was downloading, this actually pauses the downloading process so try tapping the icon of those apps that are stuck, and if that doesn't work try doing a restore, all music and videos will be lost but you'll have your apps completely downloaded.

    Hope this helps ;)

I was in the process of downloading updates for a bunch of apps and I believe that I got a call or did something that interrupted them. Now...I am at work so I think the wifi is screwy here with silly blocks on various downloads. I can't update through the 3G network?

I would restore but I honestly don't want to re-input all of my contacts again. That's hellish. :( Not to mention the 800+ songs I have on there.

EDIT: After restarting my phone for the ....5th? time, the phone stated that "______ is unable to download and will be available when you log in to iTunes next from your computer" or something to that effect. After that message for each problem app, the icon disappeared! Problem solved but I'm sad that there's no really specific way to fix it.

Somethimes for me it just stops downloading. You'll know when you don't see the loading word and you just see the name of the app. Tap to start up again.

For me, I can just reboot my device and any loading apps either delete or start redownloading.
