Unless AT&T offers another early upgrade deal, which is doubtful, I'll be waiting for the iPhone 6. Probably not a bad thing anyway. I probably shouldn't be buying another phone yet....

Waiting to see if the iPhone five needs to be held a certain way to make phone calls. ;)

I believe if you're renewing a plan you can get a new phone every 18 months so it's possible that you can pick up an iPhone 5 if it's launched in late October.

I picked up my 3GS at launch and I need a new phone badly. I was expecting to new iPhone June of this year when I bought it, I had no idea it was going to take this long. Battery is down to around 4 and a half hours, the headphone jack is shot, the back is scratched to hell and it randomly reboots every few days. I'm hoping for 64GB of storage, a larger screen and whatnot but at this point I'd be happy with anything.

They've done early upgrade deals for every iPhone though...?

I mean super early. I got my 4 even though I'd had my 3GS for just about a year or some such period of time. It was nearly a year early. It might even have been more then a year early. I can't remember. This would be a similar upgrade if they allowed it. They did it for the 4 as a way to keep people from switching over to Verizon. Lock people in for another year.
