Some interesting stuff in that video. The inspirational music and them talking about how revolutionary it is...
It's looking like it. Like the retina update is suppose, so most games will probably just have borders on either side of the screen. I'm a bit lost now. I'm unsure if I should upgrade my iPod 4G to the newer model or just pay a bit extra and get an iPad. (I'm swaying to the iPad)
Hope most games don't end up looking ugly with borders on either side... :/ And yeah, I'm thinking about that too, I'll probably stick with the new iPod touch. More portable.
No. iOS would have to rewritten entirely to take advantage of a quad core processor. Besides, gaming is all about the GPU
Lightning to 30-pin Adapter: $29. I'm glad I don't own many iPhone accessories. http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD823ZM/A/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter
Possibly Feburary or March of '13, I'd guess. - Kinda bummed that iOS 6 has another week before its launched, on the bright side; I'm finally upgrading my 2nd gen iTouch to the new 5th gen. (can finally play all the games that would drain my 4S' battery).
So yeah, I can't wait to have my blue 5th gen in my hands. But I'm still kinda concerned about how pre-taller screen games are gonna look and play on a taller screen.
Hmmm that kinda sucks I was looking forward to a new iPad but if I'm going to spend £400+ on a new iPad I don't want a new one coming out in a couple of months, looks like I'll probably hold off untill the start of next year. But bah I hate waiting for stuff. I'll have to see what's happening.
Does the new iPod Touch use the A5 or A5X chip? I'm just wondering because VentureBeat has a really "interesting" take on gaming performance...
well venture beat should read apples website where it says up to twice as fast as A5. so one could assume its a quadcore cpu/gpu mix since the A5 is dualcore cpu/gpu
Iphone 5...Kand feel and looks like this is just like an iPhone 4s with a bigger screen and a little faster A6. Still want it! But just dissapointed or am I?
In a few weeks, both of my parents will have an iPhone 4, and I'll have an iPhone 5. Good shit. The new Nano and Touch are both pretty cool. I can't believe it's been just about exactly two years already since I got my 4th gen. iPod. My gf gave it to me as a present as soon as it came out. It became nearly obsolete as an iOS device so damn fast. Finally upgrading.. Will be getting an iPad Mini or the 4th gen. iPad when they're out too. Will probably be getting my gf the 5th gen. Touch if she doesn't have one by Christmas xP.
The media event video is now up on the Apple website: http://www.apple.com/apple-events/september-2012/
I'm extremely tempted to drop money on a new ipod touch and nano in addition to my new iphone. Damn you apple and your gorgeous designs!!!
