Nice! When I saw the spectrum of colors available in the kits I figured it was only a matter of time until I'd see one of the "louder" colors used.. Seen plenty of white ones (obviously), but love the way the red worked out for you. I prefer black because it kinda 'disappears' once you really focus on the screen (to me, at least), but to each his own. Great job! edit: had to add how much I love the back plate with the black Apple logo on the red. striking!
And lots of people do pay colorware to do the conversions. Others prefer to get the kit and do the process themselves. Some enjoy and feel confident doing the tinkering, others prefer to avoid the process. All about choices.

I really like the back, but I'm not sure if I like the red on the front. I've been considering buying a brushed aluminum back replacement but I'm afraid it will mess with the signal
I do love the red, don't get me wrong. But as soon as I am given the option to change the colour/customise something I can never truly decide on the setting/colour I want. In most cases, I go for the red and then see the brushed aluminium, decide that looks epic, buy that, see another great one... I tend to just leave it as it is so I don't get into this vicious cycle.
