I'm all for it. But you shouldn't be allowed to look down upon "people like me" for giving advice to a person to allow them to attain the item they want. In this case, an upgrade to a newer iPod Touch. I was merely expressing my distaste at your qualification of our comments as telling him how to spend his money, as, obviously, he already knows how he wants to spend it and nobody is telling him otherwise.

Sorry if I came across as saying you father spoiled you, dude. Believe me, I mean to make no judgments as to how your parents support you financially.

Whatever works for you. I was just trying to supply a means of obtaining your goal. But I will say this: in any real occupation you're being paid to provide a service, and if your work is not up to standards, you run the risk of losing your job. Preparation for later life, but hey, it's your decision.

not really... i mean the internet is great for making money. i make $50 a month from my website's ads even if i don't even update it much. Im also making an iphone app that will hopefully boost my monthly revenue to $100 and im only 14. kids can easily make money you just have to know how to code or something on the internet. make youtube videos, make a website, make iphone apps or whatever but if you spend some time doing something for the internet it will pay off pretty quick.

No need to apologize. I understand what you are trying to say. I will consider getting a job now. :)

 If users don't like it and they think it runs too slow, THEY CAN TURN IT OFF!!!! This is also apples excuse with no flash! Give us a chance to use it, and if we don't like it WE CAN TURN IT OFF!!!!!

I have an 8GB iPod Touch that I just got 4 months ago... Will it have multi-tasking? I've heard that only 32 and 64's are 3rd gens, but I think the 8 is as well because when I tried to jailbreak it, it was tethered...

    Anyone?

but what is the point in spending a lot of money on flash when it probably won't even be turned on by many people. also they disabled it on the 3g to get people to upgrade, its that simple and its working lol also didn't add it on the original iphone to give people that haven't upgraded yet more reason to do so.

The 8GB will not, as that specific model does not have the speed upgrade. Only the 32GB and 64GB models do. The 8GB you have is tethered because, while they did not upgrade the speed necessarily, they still made the device so it would be resistant to jailbreak.

Yes but I know most, and I say most because there a exception like you, that wont put effort in learning to do codes. Then you said somethings that brings money back. If you want to put videos on youtube you need a camera cost money if you want a decent one and if you want an iphone app you also need money.
So I mean its still pretty hard for a kid to make money.

I'm not sure there's a video feed of it that you can watch, but sites like Engadget.com and TouchArcade's home page have articles on the happenings at the announcement.

That sucks no multitaking for 2nd gens, but I'm really looking forward to the App folders and I'm interested how that Game Center will work out.

Could they have thought of a better name besides Game Center?!?!

Well, they copied the Windows logo color scheme, they might as well make a play on Media Center as well.

Awwww. I'm a 2nd gen :(. Oh well, multitasking sounds good bit I guess I don't really need it. I have a question though, can I do wallpapers on my 2nd gen? Jus wondering cuz that's probably my favorite feature.

Wow this thread is crazy. If you don't like the way Apple runs it's business, don't buy their products. Nobody is forcing you too. It's impossible to please everybody in every situation. If you don't like the rules then don't play the game. Simples.
