Take a look at what people originally said about the first iPod, 9 years ago. The iPad is recieving some criticism, but it'll turn out much better when people own one. It'll have more and more features in the coming years.
That's a really strange argument. Yes, people said that a popular item would fail, when it didn't. You know what else people said would fail? Stuff that actually did.

i hate to admit it but im thinking about it.. for e media and this game: 3D Brick Breaker Revolution 2 i think it would rock on the bigger screen.. and maybe sway.. but you are right. it would be nothing more than a expesive toy for me. i need to upgrade my ipod first so im waiting for gen 4.. so im thinking 3d breaker rev 3 and ipad 2. heh chris.
btw i hated the ipad before i actually saw it cos i thought it was gonna get in apples way in terms of making the iphone, but now i dunno.. i really really want one.. form over function ppl, thats the way apples always been and its worked out pretty well so far. the only thing stopping me from getting an ipad is the fact that my familys laptop (yh we dnt have a desktop) is like 5 yrs old.. i dunno whether to get an ipad or hackintosh a dell mini 10v, plus next yrs ipad will probly be heaps better, like iphone to iphone 3g, but i cant wait that long cos my 3gs contract isnt up till december and it seems so slooow and laggy, speshly for games @chris yeah the bigger screen would be heaps good for games IMO, imagine touchgrind where you could actually see where you were going... or minigore with a hugeee map (and maybe like 4 player co-op or something if the processor can take it)... or every TD, RTS and board game like the front page says... plus i hated accelerometer driving before but i rkn itd be good on the ipad, something about havig to tilt the screen so mucj you couldnt see what you were doing never appealed to me on the iphone... o and tht external keyboard dock could totally be used as alternate controls for games..

the first time i saw that video clip was when the gen 3 ipod came out and it did not come with a camera and hittler wanted the camera so he was gonna go with zune. chris.

But they didn't. They couldn't even be bothered to redesign the size of the icons and font on the Springboard. Everything looks lonely as hell.
what do you mean 'they didnt'? that videos showing like an ikea app or something not anything apple w/shouldve made themselves
