The third generation touch was a huge improvement over the second gen. Much fasted procceser, doulbe the ram, most importantly the 3g graphics proccer is more than double the power of the sec gen. It just hasnt been fully harnnessed by devolpers. I dont have any use for 600 ipod touch with a big screen.
I don't want one, and won't buy one. I think it'll be successful for a niche, and not anywhere near the level of success of the iPhone/touch, which is an idea some very diehard Apple folk here can't seem to grasp. I don't think it will "fail", it just won't be a pillar of the Apple product family in the long run. What's funny is that the same people giving me flack for the revitalized AppleTV idea I and others have (better hardware based on iPhone/touch but multicore, open SDK, App Store section) being a better one that iPad for Apple in the long run would be all over Steve Jobs' knob if he actually implemented it. btw, @prez...I don't know what you guys are discussing, but if it's about a woman, take this advice: Women are like buses: If you miss one, don't worry - another one will be along in 10 minutes that you can ride.
Okay.... Im not sure what your trying to tell me. The ipad is an itouch with a big screen. I have little use for an ipad.

Soon, the iPad will have kickarse graphics-heavy games since it doesn't have a first gen iPhone or first gen iPod touch lame processor that's holding the devs back.
The iphone 3gs and itouch 3g will soon be getting some very graphics intense games also but i can carry them all comfortably in my pocket on my 300 dollar 32 gig touch instead of a 600 dollar itouch with a big screen that i CANT put in my pocket.
