This thread is for people to tell everyone what their opinions and feeling are on the new IPAD. Do you love it, hate it, want to marry it, want to have kids with it? most importanly, are you going to get one? I am not going to get one. If i do im going to wait for a later generation. What does everyone else think?
I love to have a fling with her, but that'd require at least a 60 to 80 pin dock connector to facilitate a large feller such as myself...
Funny, considering you stated a little while ago: I'm with tsharpfilm on this one, it looks amazing and totally awesome but probably won't get one.
@Electric, the ipad, not ipod...because the 1st gen ipad will be a giant ipod touch with little new features, itll take two generations for it to define itself. theres no sense crying over ever mistake, you just keep on trying til you run of out of time! portal
The 3rd gen ipad will probably be like a 5th generation ipod touch with a big screen with little new features. Anyone no the ppi of ipads screen. Isnt It lower than the touches screen.
no, because by then the ipad will have its own stuff. when the iphone first came out, it sucked. So, you could call someone and it had a touchscreen and some small features, but look at it now!
The ipad is based off the iphone and itouch and even uses the same operating system. I think the ipads "own stuff" will just be a slighly better version of something on iphone.
I'll hold off for now but keep my eyes open. As a TA member, when some mind blowing premium stuff will be out exclusive for the iPad, I know I won't be able to resist.
I plan to buy an iPad in the next few months. I really don't see a reason to wait. I bought a 1st Gen Touch as soon as it came out, and I never once regretted buying it. There isn't anything in the 2nd or 3rd gen Touch that was so exciting that I had to have one. A faster processor? An internal speaker? Not enough reason to buy one, as far as I'm concerned. My 1st gen touch can still run most of the games in the app store. When it comes to electronics, I don't see where it makes much sense to wait for the "next gen" of anything. Something better, something faster, something with more features will always come out the following year--everyone knows that. The reason the 1st gen iPhone and Touch were slow to build up momentum was because the app store was just starting out and there were very few apps. The iPad, on the other hand, will be able to run virtually all the current apps right out of the box. It hasn't even been released yet, and major developers--as well as indies--are preparing apps for the iPad. Sure, I could wait three years for the 3rd gen iPad. There might be a camera by then, and maybe all the hypothetical "bugs" will be worked out. But why would I? The release of the iPad is the perfect reason to finally upgrade from my 1st Gen Touch. Guess I'm an early adopter at heart...
