I got my iPad 2 recently and love it. I'm somewhat more mixed on the smart cover, though. Overall I do like how it functions, but one thing I really don't like is that almost every time I lift/roll it up, I find 3, somewhat thick smudge lines on the screen, perfectly lined up with the folds in the smart cover. Does anyone else see this problem? I have a black leather one, and I'm wondering if this problem might be unique to the leather covers. As it is I now carry a cleaning cloth with me because those lines drive me crazy, and having to carry that is a nuisance. I also bought a CaseCrown nylon sleeve and I'm really glad I got that. It's very well made, is slim and light but provides some extra padding front and back, and also has a handy front pocket where I store the noted cleaning cloth, as well as the camera connectors and a syncing cable. It's sized to fit an iPad 2 with a smart cover.
I have the grey poly smart cover and it does leave lines, but they go away just by wiping my finger over them. Don't worry about driving yourself crazy keeping the iPad super clean...it's a big glass panel.
I had this on an old phone of mine and also attributed it to a leather case. Figured it's just because leather isn't 100% dry.
