Are there games out now that clearly shine or are superior when using the iPad Pro?
(Other than Infinity Blade and Room Series)

    Heh, you again :D

As I wrote in your other thread, I just switched to the big 12.9" Pro.
First game I ran was Brightridge (no surprise there :p), and it's fantastic: looks even better, I could crank the resolution up to 2500x1500 (or somesuch) without noticing any FPS drops. If you want to stress-test an iOS device, Brightridge is my benchmark game.

Other than that, I only played Planar Conquest for any substantial amount of time: and while that one is not even optimised for the Pro('s higher resolution), I still think it plays much better than on my Air1.
Warhammer Quest and then King of Dragon Pass, Striketeam Hydra and Demon's Rise 1&2 are next on my list to dive into and compare.
If you don't mind info trickling in over the next week or two, I can keep you updated about my impressions.

I'm not even aware of any games that make specific use of the Pro's (particularly the large one) bigger screen, e.g. with an optimised UI.

Thanks for the feedback. Interested in the 256 gig iPad Pro w 10.5" screen. Don't know if I should wait until 2018 or make a move now.

That's the thing with Apple, you never know when they'll bring out a new version :(
If you want to upgrade now and can afford it, go for it.
However, if you are still happy with your Air2 and all your games run smooth, there's much less incentive for it - aside from the bigger screen where the 10.5" doesn't make much of a difference (I think).

I only upgraded to the Pro because I could see that the Air1 starts to hit its limits (e.g. I've seen a few games recently that only support Air2 and up, but can't recall which ones those were), because I had a bunch of money saved up for it, and I *really* wanted the huge screen :p
For me, the Air1 made it way past what I expected for its lifecycle: I skipped the Air2 and the first generation of Pro, as no games needed the extra power then. And with a few exceptions, I guess it would have been good for at least another year - maybe even two.

If you want to see a game that's horrible on the Pro, get Galaxy of Trian: it's currently free, so I downloaded it on a whim. Not good at all, I deleted it after like 10 seconds in the tutorial - the font they use is so tiny (like 4pt or somesuch) it's almost impossible to read without putting my nose directly to the screen. Note that I have no comparison if it's better on the Air though, I didn't feel like bothering to give it a try there.
