In line 6 hours, got a 64g white wifi. Was going to get 3G, like my old one, but they were sold out. I have an iPhone 4, though, so I can use it as a mobile wifi hotspot. The speed difference is quite noticeable. Real Racing 2, Dead Space, and Infinty Blade all look great. I'll be more excited when some of my favorite apps get updated. It looks and feels even thinner than it is, because of the rounded edges. It sounds silly, but the covers are amazing. For me, not because of the folding, but because closing it sleeps your iPad and opening awakens it. It makes the unit seem much more accessible. The magnets were smart. Garage Band is great too, but it will work on any iPad, except for the tap strength recognition (which is genius). I really wish they would have increased the storage space, though. My old one was also 64g and it was full! Overall, I would say it's a decent upgrade, considering it's a "tock" year in Apple's Tick-Tock release philosophy. Funny story: When I threw my antique iPad under a bus, it hit the pavement early and skipped off the rainy surface and actually hit the bus, instead of sliding under. I think the bus driver may have thought it was a gun shot, because he slammed on the brakes.
iPad 2 has good features. It has over 10 hours of battery. It is very thin and light, therefore it is more convenient in your hands. It has many facilities such as, we can surf, E-mail, we can see, movies, could have forgotten you, incredible technology is at the disposal. I like Ipad 2.
I didn't order until after I got a chance to look at them at the Apple store on Saturday, and of course now the delivery estimate is 3 to 4 weeks. Oh well. I ordered a black 64 GB AT&T 3G model (US). I'm having second thoughts about AT&T, though, because my iPhone is AT&T and mostly I'm happy with AT&T, especially for data, but I got to thinking that maybe it would be better to have one on AT&T and the other on Verizon. Covering all bases, thus. Haven't changed my order, though. I also ordered the black leather smart cover. I was going to go with the cheaper plastic ones, but really didn't like the light colors much, so decided to bite my lip and pay the "tax".
I've been trying to hunt down a 16GB wifi model for my parents and I was told at the Apple store yesterday that they would be opening early today with a new shipment. I showed up at 7:20 and was 12th in line, at 8AM they came out and said they only had 3 AT&T 32GB and 4 Verizon 32GB in stock.
Im in UK so have 10 days left! In my iPad fund I have £265 - I guess that's £165 left to go... Possible?! Also, do you reckon it's only Apple shops that have it on launch or will other retail outlets have them? I remember iPad 1 took aaages to get in store.
Yay! Well I didn't get the iPad 2, but I did get a sweet deal on a 16gb wifi 1st gen only 2 months old! I honestly thought the idea of the iPad was silly, UNTIL I tried a friends and realized how useful it can be for me... One day into it loving it so far,
