So yea, I still have the first gen iPad. I know its old and can't handle some games but recently some of my games seem to be crashing a lot. Those include: -Anomaly Warzone Earth HD -Sky Gamblers: Air Supremacy -Reckless Racing 2 -Real Racing 2 HD -Mass Effect Infiltrator The thing is that these games worked ok before and now just seem to be crashing. And its not like they crash randomly, its usually when I start playing or press a button that makes them crash. Still have tons of space on my iPad like 10GB (out of 32GB). More casual games like Angry Birds Space HD and Cut the Rope HD seem to run fine. Just old hardware or is there a fix to this?
Turning the power fully off and back on again is pretty much the only available fix to crashing games. You can also try freeing up more memory (RAM, not storage) by clearing the Safari cache and turning off services you don't need.
What iOS version does the iPad 1 go up to? I ask this because, on my phone at least, I no longer see the option the clear my browser cache on 5.1.1.
iOS 5.1.1 It won't get iOS 6 so this will probably be the last update unless Apple releases iOS 5.1.2 or iOS 5.2 for like bug fixes and stuff. I think you go to settings > safari > advanced > website data to clear it
