Apple does nothing to prevent iOS game developers from changing the gameplay experience and/or scoring at a fundamental level weeks, months or years after a game's release. There are dozens if not hundreds of developers who would lose their accounts with the major platforms if they pulled similar stunts. I'm starting to believe that some iOS developers are trying to piss off customers intentionally. Maybe such developers have stock in other platforms?
I like it all. They all have their pros and cons. iOS is still so young though... and has grown significantly since the birth of the AppStore. It'll be interesting to see where EVERYTHING (Console, PC, iOS, Mobile Gaming in general) will be at in 5, 10, or 15 years from now....
Criterion did just that to Burnout Paradise and got away with it. The game looks ugly as f*** now, used to be beautiful.
