I really can never understand the appeal of rage of Bahamut like "games". They're basically just an orgy of "add me for a free rare, 66HF73G".
I just finished playing Northmark: Hour of the Wolf. The writing could have used some improvement and a stronger tutorial would have been nice, but overall it was an excellent game for this genre! Be warned though, it only took me 6 hours to complete everything.
Can't pick one for you but ill provide a short list. Ascension (this is a "deck building" game, not exactly TCG) Shadow era Spellcraft ACR Magic
Wanted to throw Ultimate Showdown into the ring here - winning matches earns gold which can be used to get new cards / customize decks https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ultimate-showdown/id492502890?mt=8
Added. Thanks for the link Smashware! There definitely seem to be a few gripes about the game currently. Is it still in active development? Any thoughts about easing the mostly hard paywall?
We're definitely still developing the game - the newest patch is increasing the reward for playing multiplayer games and adding some new content as well. There's also a new Opponent of the Day mode where you can earn coins for fighting a different tournament opponent each day. The patch is already finished actually - just waiting on Apple to approve it
O blessed people! Why the Penny Arcade CG thread is a big bunch of random ios TCG suggestions? Don't anybody here has any idea about "this" game or am I on the wrong thread led by a wrong link by the app?
You are on the wrong thread my friend. This one is titled "iOS Combat TCG/CCG/Card RPG". Please read the first thread. It is certainly not tied to Penny Arcade.
There's a bug. If you search for the Penny Arcade game on TouchArcade's app and enter its thread, it will bring you to this thread instead. This also happens to Summoner Wars.
