I have seen a few apps that have been ported to the pc or Web browsers. Most of them have turned out quite good. I think the best I have seen is with Kingdoms at War. It is basically an upscaled version of the app. It is in my opinion an example of how an app should be upscaled to a pc. What other games have you seen do this? I think it will mainly be RPG'S.
Zenonia was ported to windows. The download link still works too, even though Gamevil ditched that project long ago.
Zen Bound 2 will see a desktop release. It plays nice with multi-touch controllers. Here's the announcement trailer: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel The video is captured from an older build of the yet-unreleased desktop version, the visuals have since received subtle improvements.
All GameSalad games can be exported to Mac, but I don't see many developers taking advantage of this option. I exported one of my games to Mac, just for fun. It was pretty cool, but I didn't think that there would be a huge market for this kind of thing. Are people really interested in Mac versions of iOS games?
Most popular games on the iPhone are popular because they're on the iPhone. Looking at at least half of the titles in the top 10, they're either only possible on the iPhone or owe their success to the iPhone (some games just wouldn't find a spot as easily on another platform).
