    Greetings folks,

I'm just seeking an opinion here, I'm seriously thinking of upgrading my iPad Air 1 to iOS 9 purely because I can use the peace, ad blocker. I've read it vastly speeds up browsing on safari.

Very very tempted to do it as my iPad is my main browser these days.

Anyone else thinking of doing the same?

I wont be using ad blockers but iv already upgraded all my devices to iOS 9. no reason to stick to old version.

Old version runs all my games/apps. iOS 9 might not ;)

I have not found a broken game yet

But that might be cause all my Free2Play games are actually updated regularly..

There is a thread that you have probably noted in the General Gaming section discussing various games that may not run under iOS 9. Generally, the older games stand more of a chance of not working. So, if the games you want to be able to play are older and no longer being supported, probably best not to upgrade. Same goes for general apps. Although a great deal of very old games (from 2009 when I started the iOS gaming) still run just fine on my iPhone 6 with iOS 9.

The ad blockers do indeed greatly speed up browsing, but I have found it is not a big deal with my home network. It could be a big deal at public places, hotels, etc. where the bandwidth is greatly restricted. Your home network probably has a lot of bandwidth. The iPhone using the LTE network is much faster, and also helps a lot keeping data usage down.

I am fortunate - I have an iPad 3 that is still on iOS 7 and probably won't upgrade, but I have an iPhone 6+ that I keep putting the latest iOS, so I can still play the "broken" games on my iPad.

You've not? Very good. Although all my games are normal games, I won't allow f2p games on my iPad (not knocking you, if you like them that's cool.. Have fun)

Free2play is not Normal games now? Lol.

I'm not gonna start any discussion here but think about what you just wrote.

A game is a game regardless of how much you pay for it.

I agree this is not the place for such a discussion but I'll give you my opinion and we'll simply agree to disagree and both enjoy our own games :)

    For me it's like this:-

Normal game = a game that's purely deigned for fun and entertainment
F2P game = a game that's purely designed to frustrate you into paying over and over and over to get past barriers and timers

But yeah, let's just agree to disagree on this one.
