after I have updated to iOS 9.2
My iPad 4 has a Game Center issue
It takes 12 sec to load up or more
Games like mc 5 and mc 4 are frequently crashing.
if I could downgrade I would

iPad 4's at the end of its life cycle; sold mine a few weeks ago and happy to be rid of it.

I almost never upgrade iOS anymore until later. There's always problems.

Apple lets IPad 4 owners upgrade their system to IOS 9, so it should work.
Nothing to do with it being on the end of it's life cycle, just sloppy work on the part of Apple.

If IOS 9 and the installed games did work without any problems before, then it's hardly unrealistic to expect them working after a simple update.

They let you upgrade it sure but at the same time it'll slow your device way down and probably be that last little push to send it over the edge of the proverbial cliff. They want your device to slow to a crawl over the years. This ensures purchases of new iPads.

Is there any reason to really upgrade iOS? Even the incremental updates break some apps.

So, I posted this in another thread -

I have an iPhone 6+ and iOS 9.2. Game Center was working for me, then died. I realized it was not working when some daily challenges were not showing up. Anyways, went to the game center app - got the white screen (don't go into the light... :D) . Tried to go to settings and turn game center off - no dice, pressing the game center gets no response.

So, then I did a hard reset of the iphone (press and hold power and the home button, the apple will come up, continue to hold the power and home button and eventually the apple will go off). Then turn on the phone normally. I was greeted with an information box to log into icloud. I did that, then tried game center, and it logged me in.

I don't know if this is a fix or not, but game center was not working for me and now is. If this works, it is certainly is reasonably quick. It also led me to think about signing out of and then back into iCloud -perhaps that would reset the Game Center stuff as well. That would be even faster than doing the hard reset. Might want to give it a try and report back. Or I will if GC quits on me again.

Well I think the problem might have something to do with the developer settings in Game Center ???

Except the same problems with Game Center are happening with my iPad Air 2 . Games like need for speed and dungeon hunter 5 are unplayable .

Because Apple bundles security updates into the iOS updates. So if you're not using the latest version of iOS your iOS device has unpatched known security vulnerabilities on it.

After my experience with iOS 8 to iOS 9
I would rather use an anti virus for iOS , if there is one.
I have regretted I upgrading to iOS 9.1 from iOS 8.3
