Agree. The cool thing is all the stuff I'm not a huge fan off is mainly cosmetic and can be easily changed in future update (or hidden in folders ((NEWS STAND!)). The layers on an axis, control panel, folders, translucency, notifications, multi-tasking and the rest of the guts all look great and seem to give a sense of depth.

Shocking that now Publishers/Developers will have to get their shit done the right way from the Start or will get downvoted otherwise if they screw up.

God bless I was waiting so freaking long for that Feature...

Can't agree more!! At first, I hated it all simply because I couldn't get past the rainbow bubble gum colors. Not to mention the actual rainbow bubbles in Game Center. I had to watch the presentation a second time to really appreciate everything beyond that.

Looking past that I do like the new design choices, I agree that it seems more efficient. Not sure they've added enough to notification center though, we'll have to wait and see.

I feel like we just dodged a bullet with this one.

Imagine auto app update feature that wasn't optional. We OCD gamers would suffer major angst with our jam packed devices with limited disk space to update anything!!

I know a good number of people aren't rushing to update to the latest iOS, and many people here on TA haven't updated to iOS 6 or even iOS 5 yet. I wasnt asking "Will you even update?" in a way that if you choose not to update, you'll wait for IOS 20, but more like waiting for iOS 7.0.1 or just holding off. It does look great, but some people disagree with that, which I can understand.

Fair call. TBH the only reason I usually hold off is due to JB. However most of the reasons I JB (external controller, control panel, bigger folders) are all here. I think those not upgrading will be felt fans, be hardcore for the original google apps or limited by model

Automatic app updates are an option, as seen below:

I'm a huge fan of the new look. Very sleek, elegant, and modern. Fits perfectly with the design of the hardware.

Feels like I'm in a minority, but I also really like the new look. And the functionality is nice, of course, though I still wish the file-system was accessible like with Android (though I doubt Apple would ever allow such a thing!)

I'm quite unhappy with the new design. It seems that you don't see any buttons anymore but just a text that is clickable. How are users supposed to know a simple text (no box etc.) is a button?

In addition, the colors are way too flashy and the new design is missing alot of detail. Just have a look at the new Safari icon. It is just too simple now, a major step backwards.

    I like the new look.
Elegant, yes, and not so cold, plain and static anymore.
If it is a bit customizable, I'll be glad.

After years of the same design do you find you still need the button shape. I find I just intuitively use it now. Watching my 3 year old unlock my phone without looking shows that we are moving passed buttons.

In terms of icons I think they were going for simple images. I'm not a fan of the colours either. As Volvin said a bit of customization would be poifect

No no no! This will never do. I am quite oppesed to the new look. Everything looks so good right now...... D: What will app icons (games etc.) look like? I am looking forward to everything but the look. An option to switch between the current and this would be amazing.

They will look the same. The icons shown are just for Apple's applications :)

But developers might be forced to adapt to the new style and remove any gloss from their icons.

They dont currently force devs to make glossy icons so it would be pretty surprising.

Not to slight those that like the new look but I think it looks absolutely horrid, I don't mind clean at all but it looks like a school project.
