With the update coming tomorrow was curious what features everyone is looking forward too. I'm a little disappointed that the game center isn't included in the update but better late than never.

I'm personally looking forward to the folders feature. I can finally organize my games by category and put all the free game that I downloaded but haven't played yet all in one central location without taking up 4 pages on my iPod touch.

Also looking forward to finally being able to create/edit playlists on my iPod instead of having to connecting to a computer all the time.

    IT'S COMING TOMORROW?!?!

Anyway, I'm really looking forward spell check and the new wi-fi feature where it can stay connected while asleep.

Err making playlists has always been possible!

In my iOS4 I got the other day includes game centre (maybe in actual release it won't, I'm not sure)

So far my favourite feature is multi-tasking, really cool. I also like the minor change to music app, it now shows album covers when looking at songs in the artist section.

EDIT: wifi all the time is really cool but spellcheck doesn't work too well

You could make On-The-Go playlists originally, but with iOS4, you're now able to make and name your own playlists right on the device. No more "add to On-the-Go, and name it on the computer" anymore.

Here's a link to updates for the iTouch:

    Here's a link making me re-think upgrading:

I wonder what they mean by "older"?

Alphanumerical passlock is a really cool feature, but I am already running iOS4 and the battery does drain faster than usual.

I'm definitely looking forward to folders! They should have gotten those ages ago.

Be interesting to see the feedback once people get the update on battery life. From what i've heard it is going to drain big time. I only want the folders option so maybe worth jailbreaking and just getting that app?

Basically, from what I glean, the update gives a bunch of features you'd normally have to be jailbroken to get. Apple is trying to reduce the number of jailbreakers, and this will help at least somewhat.

Now you got me wondering. Anyone with a jailbroken iTouch experience any significant battery drain while enabling the same or similar number of features posted by Apple?

I was jailbroken before I updated, but the battery was drained way less then it is on ios4, I think i may have to downgrade.

no it comes out tommorrow, the biggest battery draining thing is always having wifi on.

If you want it early just download the Ipsw from the thread below this one. I got it from a link & it's awesome.

They said it's only for Mac but I got it on windows.

    Just do a shift restore

If jailbroken, will this negatively affect apps or games in any way? Or, are all apps status quo regardless of operating in a jailbroken environment or not?

No, it will not negatively affect anything, but they might take longer to close. If you do choose to jailbreak, do your research before anything, most likely I will jailbreak again because I love being able to use themes.

I'm reassembling my phone from the restore to OS 4 as I type, I took a glimpse at it before I started syncing all my music and app and it looks pretty awesome. Is it a fact game center is not included, cause I saw an icon for it

EDIT: Game Center is fully functional for me, already got it running
