A really well-executed experience. Suddenly I realize that I haven't seen a roguelike with an f2p model like this before. Seems to make perfect sense (which analogous games am I forgetting?). I keep wishing the layouts would change with each attempt, however. Static levels only say to me that later on theyre really going to put on the iap squeeze. P.S. that doggy level is diabolical! It hurts so good.
Sent a buck your way as a way of saying thanks, truly enjoying this little dungeon crawly gem. Most fun I've had with a DC since Pitman.
So far Apple tells that it's a busy time now and caching across their servers may take longer time. We'll return back to them for a deeper investigation in case the issue will still exist after several hours from now. To feel the pulse it would help if you would give us know if you will be able to successfully download the game, or if you still won't be able to download it after a few hours from now (now = 8AM SF time).
Is there a reason there isn't a double coin IAP in the game? If you don't turn on the interstitial ads I'd definitely buy a coin doubler. If you do turn them on I'd purchase both so the game is premium. Nice job with the game. Billy
I'm in the US, I've tried to download at least 24 times in the last 24 hours with no luck. I'll let you know as soon as things change.
Excellent lil roguelike.. Really fun.. I enjoy the optional ads for free coins, and I am still trying to figure out the movements of the baddies.. Great game. This game will be placed next to Downwell so it can be played in quick bursts. Question : Does the - 50 coin - 'map unlock' work only for the current floor, or does it unlock maps for the remainder of the floors in game?
Very high quality game. Gorgeous, extremely polished in every regard, and satisfying, tight gameplay. It's fun to see a game that has all the trappings of a roguelike minus the randomization, which allows for more finely tuned experiences. To echo an earlier comment, if this game was ever adapted to a true roguelike (randomization, equipment, more dynamic items and abilities), it would never leave my phone. Please consider expanding the game with an endless mode in this fashion! Lastly, I want to say, while I don't mind the F2P mechanics implemented here (most seem very fair), the game would certainly be better without them, and it would be nice if we could pay to turn off timers. I just hate to see top-notch design hindered by the limitations of F2P. The one detail that does feel a tad manipulative is that the 'Unlock Map' button is directly beneath the 'view map' button - there have been a couple instances in which I've accidentally bumped the screen twice and wasted 50 coins. This could just be an oversight, but with everything else so carefully designed, it seems unlikely. Thanks for the great game! Edit: not sure how everyone is having such a hard time with the dog level haha.
Wow, thank you so much for such a favourable and thoughtful feedback! I promise that we will discuss all of your suggestions! And concerning the dog level, you are lucky for sure (or rather a great strategist) obviously many people here will envy you Though there's still the last dungeon, which is much worse
