Woah so even if I buy an iap the ad's will still be there? I was just about to pick up the 69p iap to get rid of the ad's glad I came here first.
Oh god.. all I can say is that this game is SOOOOOOO POLISHED. And the IAP doesnt seem to be intrusive as well. My only complaint... it's got ads. But they only show when navigating through the menus.
Yep really liking this as well the only complainds is the adds and for some extrange reason the games have crashed two times already during the screen where you select the Perks Finally something new in the runner gender PS: Nice menu music
Well, I'm #11 on Game Centre after 4 runs Anyway, here's my +/- review +Beautiful graphics +Four control schemes that can work to everyones taste +Coins can be used for one perk and still get profit +Quite easy at the beginning, but starts to get difficult after 2000m +Intresting view point for an endless runner (All I've seen our over head and sideways) +In-Apps aren't too obtrusive +Ads don't interrupt the playing field +Nice mechanic where you slow down from hitting objects and nudging zombies +Corn field well done, scary jumping away from the path of one zombie straight into the arms of others +Nice how you can see the zombie eyes, zombies rising up from ground +Pretty gruesome death scene with the blood and the screaming and the zombie eating noises working together -Often quite laggy, especially around achievments and notifications -It takes a while to load (I've seen a lot worse, though I've seen a lot better than this) -BUG: Game progress deletes itself if you exit out the app and kill it from the home bar Summary: This, like many other PikPok games, is really well done. There might be other zombie endless runners on the market, but this is my favourite..The save-killing bug needs to be squashed though 8/10 I've got one suggestion, and thats to let ammo build up i.e you hit a crate with a pistol with 8 ammo and it goes to 20 Edit: Just found massive bug-my game progress got deleted...review has been adjusted for this
Look for Dead Runner. Very similar to this one, but came out before this. This is much deeper and is better, but nonetheless it's a good pickup for a first person endless runner.
LOL... tons of them. Some of them actually have potential, but ended up being bad because of lack of attention from the devs.
Response from the concept originator of Into the Dead at PikPok on the mention of Dead Runner - "Good pick. Dead Runner was actually one of the title inspirations when I came up with the concept, the other being Zombie Highway. Dead Runner was great, but shallow enough that I lost interest after a while once I reached the peak of my natural skill level. Zombie Highway has great meta progression and variety which kept me playing but the gameplay didn't quite grab as much as I would have liked. Seemed natural to combine the best of both worlds "
^well said... But d the days when "variety" wasnt much, dead runner was actually pretty good, but yeah, it got old now with newer runner titles, especially with Into the Dead now out.
Holy crap I've just been playing this on my ipad with my headphones in and it's freaking awesome. Everything about this is cool the way you rebound off zombies from a close shave and running through the different environments is fantastic. Seriously it's exactly like the dev said, it's dead runner updated for today and turned up to 11. Love it.
The microsite for the game including the launch trailer is up at www.intothedead.com Direct Youtube link for trailer is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jFQVdDLphs&feature=player_embedded
I have... and it's good, but i prefer this than Minigore 2, because it's just, well, minigore with upgrades. But again, it's really good and a very worthy successor to Minigore, but i just find this more atmospheric and more engaging. EDIT: Wow... went through the Minigore 2 thread and found out you havent played it yet. Sorry for giving you a bit of a spoiler, and congratulations for calling a game better than the other without playing either.
