There is a slight difference in that the more aggressive the description the marginally more benefit they provide. Ghost is the most benefit. There is a "No Ads" purchase, though that won't remove our own cross promotions, only third party ads. And I wouldn't recommend purchasing that right now - see below. We recognize that the ad implementation in the game is based on older thinking (the game is 2 years old next week, and one of our earlier F2P titles). We actually had a meeting on ads last week to bring it into our current strategy which is to ease ads into the game over time, and remove most ads on a real money purchase. We also reviewed where and how ads are appearing which will hopefully make things a little more streamlined too. That won't happen this side of the new year, but that will hopefully make both new and existing fans happier. On top of that we have more feature and content updates coming too, so keep an eye out for those (a stability update should be releasing soon). And we also just released the game on Facebook which connects with the mobile version (you can play here http://apps.facebook.com/intothedead/ ).
Nice news that this game is still getting some love. Also, any chance you could eliminate the white line that shows up at the bottom of the screen? It's been there for ages. It's pretty harmless but a little annoying. Edit: you can't see it in the screenshot but it's at the very edge of the screen.
Yeah, I've raised that with the team myself. Will prompt them again. Edit: actually, I'm told this is fixed in the next update.
Just sent your team an email about the game crashing everytime gamecenter pops up. Im on iphone 6 and new ios. Anyone else having this problem? Possibly related to a large number of gamecenter friends.
Sorry to hear that. Does it still happen on the latest update? We just released a new update in the last few days and it was specifically focused on fixing crash bugs.
Sorry about that The team tracked down the issue, and we submitted a fix build on 5 January. Hopefully given current review times that isn't too far away from going live.
Just confirming the build with this fix has just gone live this morning and should now be available in all regions.
New update for Into the Dead went live today including - gruesome App Preview! - Social pickups allowing you to use premium weapons from friends - Improvements to the supply hut/armory - General bug fixes
I redownloaded and then synced my old profile. What the heck are these ridiculous cross platform rewards ads? Seriously? They need to go. I don't want to play with the game like this and I'm certainly not spending a dime. When they are removed I'll reinstall yet again and maybe buy the crossbow. Seriously I don't get how anyone would like the insane cross platform ads after every single play. Uninstalled again. Billy
Yeah... I considered this as one of the best games on iOS back then. Until they added all the unnecessary stuff that's making me regret all the permanent purchases. Then it just went from bad to worse.
I actually really loved the game too. I started out on Android OS and I made some purchases on that platform. Then I got an iPhone and one of the first installs was into the dead. It was a great game. The cross platform rewards with the tiny little x button to refuse the offer needs to be taken out. It's ridiculous. I don't mind paying for a game. I don't mind IAP to get rid of the ads. The cross platform rewards crosses the line for me. I already made purchases. Why would te devs force this on me? Billy
Interested in seeing the graphical differences from the new update. Might check it out how it looks before I update and I'll report back with any noticeable changes.
Again there's no way to get rid of the ads. There's no way to get rid of the ridiculously called rewards (more ads). I cannot justify any purchase like this. Why can't the devs do something as simple as providin a way for people to do this? Billy
3rd party ads turn off with any purchase (though PikPok cross promotions and notices will remain). It used to be a separate specific "no ads" purchase, but we removed that. We just released a fun update based around a black comedy horror film which just got released in the US today, Deathgasm. We've included weapons from the film in the game and a body armour bonus. Hoping the film can do well also, as it was made locally and its great when NZ stuff can get traction internationally. It is available in the US via streaming from the links below and in limited theatres.
