Nice, I'm sick of those Clash of Clan ads! Just score 87XX in Classic mode, new high score! I'm getting better with the minigun
Lags to bits and pieces on an unjailbroken, up to date iPhone 4. If you are stuck in the past like me, even downloading Into the Dead might be a waste of time (unless I am the subject of a local issue). Other than that, this seems to be one of the most refreshing takes on the genre, and a given for fans of endless runners. Which I am not, so I've no idea what I'm doing here
1.3 is out. Still no ad-free IAP as far as I can see. Thanks Pikpok, for keeping a promise you made when it was released in November 1012. That was 3,5 months ago. It's THERE but it has a huge stop sign and is unpurchasable. Nice. NOT.
Sorry you are having trouble with that. For reasons unknown to us, Apple disabled that IAP option during review. We re-enabled it when the game passed review and was released to the Store, but it takes several hours for such a change to take effect. It should now be selectable. Please do post if you are still having problems with it.
Disable ads isn't available for me either. What's even funnier is that I think iAd is mocking me. Haha The iAd banner keeps popping in and out on the armory screen, peek-a-boo style, several times per second in an endless loop and never goes away.
Yay, I finally did it too! Oh and yes, this screenshot was taken right before I ran head first into that undead guy in the middle of my view.
Played this a little today, and damn is this game great. Probably my favorite zombie game right after Telltale's The Walking Dead... NY Zombies 2 is a close third. Somehow other zombie games i have played, just dont seem to be scary like they were meant to be. These three are kings in that IMO. Needless to say, my other favorite zombie games include: PvZ Dead Trigger Zombies. Pro Zombie Soccer CoD:BOZ Zombie Tsunami Infectonator Zombie Parkour Runner Zombie Highway
Lol it would be nice to have a no-IAP IAP in every app. NO WAIT! So my next mission, make a distance record without a kill. Now that's just crazy. My longest run is ~10000m, and it took me over a month just to achieve the "5000m without a kill" mission.
Agreed, its a great game. Amazing atmosphere yet extraordinarily simple in its implementation. I've had a couple of issues on iPad 4 where it crashes on launch. Unique to wifi only iPad 4 weirdly enough as it doesn't happen on iPad 2, iPhone 4S or 5. Pikpok support is awesome by the way and they are checking my crash logs to try and repeat or determine why it happens on mine so that they can improve it and sort it out. But back on point, if this occurs with anyone else (and hopefully it doesn't), just go into airplane mode when launching the game and it'll work perfectly. You can pause at any stage and go back and turn off airplane mode if you wish. Just a tip if anyone has experienced the same thing. Its by no means a game breaker as the game really is awesome. No ad iap also a no brainer simply to support the dev.
Any news of future updates? More content than just zombie skins? I've been hoping for new environments and hazards to run through, new weapons, etc
I had emailed the dev, asking about updates and offering suggestions --- If you're interested, here's what I suggested: Weapons - Katana - Riot shield (can plow through zombies) - Crossbow (like rifle, but looks cooler and running over shot zombie retrieves ammo) - Throwing knives (fastest "reload" speed) - M249 light machine gun (less to obtain than minigun) - Molotovs (fire spreads through groups of zombies, clearing large areas) Perks - Boots (run faster, dodge quicker) - Body armor/knife (second chance) - Repellent (clears path for 10, 20, 30 seconds when activated) - Magnet (stashes picked up from a short distance) Environments - Farm (run through barns, sheds) - Marshes (running through water affects speed, staying on grass keeps up speed, kind of of how cornfield affects visibility) - Country road (weave between abandoned cars, jump over fallen telephone poles) - random Thunderstorms during runs (darkness except for glowing eyes and flashes of lightning)
Great ideas, but i think we should avoid Second Chances as it detracts the game from being a survival runner. Also, magnet dont seem to add up since the game tries to be somewhat realistic and a supply box opening itself and flying its contents to you seem bizaare for this game world. Love the repellant, but i was thinking more of a one-use (like 1 ammo from a gun) grenade that call the zombies attention off you for 4, 6, 8 seconds. 10, 20 and 30 will be too overpowered. 30 seconds will get you past cornfields, woods and meadows when you've gone past 1000m. Maybe even 3, 5, 7 seconds will work decently.
