Great game and atmosphere! There was a suggestion in this thread, to simply increase the ammo of your weapon, when running over a crate that contains the same weapon. Would love some more ammo. Also, I would like to run over or along train tracks. Maybe follow them into a tunnel full of zombies. Think this would fit in well with your setting and it would be a lot of fun. Please add a traintrack & tunnel level! Otherwise enjoying the game. I would also pay for the option to disable ads...
Yeah, it's a bit annoying to have 12 rounds, run over a pick-up, and voila, still 12 rounds... As for the "train tracks/tunnel" idea? FREAKING GENIUS. There could be flickering lights in the tunnel, so it wouldn't be pitch black but your vision would be limited like in the cornfields... oh baby. DBC
@PikPok I really have a request. Please keep the volume level the same when a Zombie attacks me. It kind of annoys me the volume lowers down when the Zombie finally gets to eat me In fact, I would like the option to make it even louder, just to add a horror aspect to the game
Really nice endless runner here, like it a lot... Especially picking up weapons and firing them. And climbing over fences, the different scenery (like the cornfield, always gives me goose bumps) and all the zombies wandering around. So far I got the chainsaw and its a great time with it. PikPok has developed a great and new endless runner that feels like Temple Run but without lanes and that stuff and much better. Congrats, this is now my favorite in this catergory (3D)
I assume people have figured out that the birds spawning in the distance indicates where the crate will appear. Thought I'd mention it just in case though.
I hadn't figured that out, so thanks! while I could see this getting old after a short while (thanks to repeating areas), but it's a fantastic app that some family members picked up as soon as they saw me play. the environment and atmosphere is great, and even if it's not the most original idea, it still feels fresh.
No, I don't think that's necessary. For the most part, each of the weapons is balanced around having a certain amount of ammo, and the game as a whole is designed around you not running through the world constantly loaded for bear like an action hero. There's a reason why boosts to weapons are all purchasable perks (starting with a weapon, more weapon crates, and weapons having 50% more ammo). If anything, I would say that the "Armed Start" perk needs to be revamped, because "More Crates" renders it largely pointless seeing as how you usually come across a crate within a few seconds of starting a run with the latter perk anyway, and AS doesn't offer the ongoing benefits that MC does. Yeah, I noted this earlier in the thread for those who were having trouble making it to crates because they were in the wrong place when they showed on screen, and couldn't make it across to them fast enough. Thread moves fast though. ^_-
Into the challenge? Hey folks Anyone interested in a little bit of friendly competition on this atmospheric zombie trawler? If you are, you're more than welcome to add me on my GC nick, which is Deckard740 Would be interested in comparing stats such as total kills within the zombie wasteland. Power To The Non-Zombies!
Woo. 8,833. I even cracked the top 100. The zombies were really thick right and the end and I was getting crap weapons. My last were two chainsaws right in a row so I just sawed my way through the last couple hundred meters. I wanted to add that I actually like that the weapons are random. There's a nice, "Oh crap!" moment when you realize that you're entering a cornfield with a hunting rifle and then have to see if you can save yourself. The second and third cornfields are definitely the toughest parts I've seen so far. I almost managed to run through the second cornfield without any weapons, but a clump of zombies standing at the exit snicker-snacked me. I have managed to make it through once with just the pistol, though, and that felt pretty good. The only tip I've found for the cornfield is that, whatever you do, when you have to get out of your row don't run too far through the corn. If you do you're running blind and you'll die for sure. You have to commit to the full row change. You might still run into a zombie while you're doing that, but if you're moving hard in whichever direction a lot of times you'll get lucky and glance off.
PikPok! I got a great idea! You guys should think about developing a separate game than this, with the same endless runner 3D genre. It should be a 2012 end-of-the-world theme and you could call it "Into The End" or something of that nature. Instead of zombies, there could be light posts falling down, running in and out of buildings, hopping fences, cracked roads, dodging flying cars, like one of the scenes in the movie "2012." Now THAT would also be a great title for you guys to work on, seeing as how you guys perfected the endless 3D runner scheme
Here is a summary: +: Unique 3D endless runner that feels fresh and has a great atmosphere. Picking up weapons and firing them, jumping over fences, smashing into trees, the different scenarios, all the details. GameCenter leaderboards and achievements (lately if feels like most don't care about this). The sounds of the dead. Zombies! -: Can get old pretty quickly. Some missions are hard (the one E7 described for example, had to skip it). Coins aren't as generous as the other game I'm playing. Conclusion: Great first person endless runner in 3D that eats the competition and delivers a good amount of fun. And this is the first freemium game I like Final Rating: 4 out of 5. Great
