But I think the charm of this game is in its difficulty itself. Like you are literally up against it. Against an outnumbering alien species that wants nothing but annihilation. And for you, it’s about survival, not domination. I think the roguelike element works for this game. A more linear experience could have ruined it. And the main depth comes from learning from your mistakes and keeping on trying to do better. This is a rare kinda game on mobile. I’ve no idea about the financials of the port but the game is so good it basically belongs on the touch screen and it’s a massive shame perhaps the financial incentive wasn’t there earlier(?).
