Been following this thread because I’m interested in the game but with so many pages of bugs, I guess maybe I should hold off a bit. I do like X-Wing type games!
Using touch controls I limit fire controls to be automatic only, this is really down to not having enough fingers to fire primary and secondary, and control the stick and adjust throttle / dodge at the same time using touch. If you attach a game controller, then that option becomes available. By default with controllers, the game is manual fire, but if you’re looking for an easier experience, auto can be enabled.
Info on allies, can do! I’m thinking of either extending the tutorial, or adding a wiki sort of thing to the game. The throttle bug seems to happen when you jump in and out of the menu / when the game starts. Seems to be a misunderstanding from me of the Rewired plugin I’m using for controls.. Max reinforcements... hmmmm suspiciously not there. Good pickup! And indeed, missing an apostrophe. Cheers! MX24 + Y12... seem fine? Or am i missing something. AC-73, lol I’m sure it’s flavour text I wrote nearly two years ago. But yes, just did the math again, it actually fires 1200 rounds per minute.
Most of the serious bugs are gone, so I don’t think bugs will be an issue. Not sure if this game meets your x-wing expectation though. This game doesn’t provide scripted missions with events.
this is for controller players. If you connect a controller, you can turn off auto fire and manually fire both guns
New patch is heading up to Testflight now, should be out later this week! Interloper Release Notes 1.08 Do you know what the word 'Nemesis' means? Another slogger of a patch this week. Three new missions, a new type of enemy, a ton of performance fixes and a newly updated settings menu.. oh and did I mention a new App Icon? Honestly... other stuff I can't remember right now.. it's been a long day.
Just tried playing a round in landscape orientation. A minor request- any chance of swapping controls to get the joystick on the left side for touch controls or did I miss that in the settings?
Also, maybe I’m being a stats nerd, but I think it would be cool to have some stats on my gameplay. Setting the frequency of what level runs I take, what kind of equipment lists I choose would be interesting and also a good way to try new combos of equipment than what I ‘ordinarily’ prefer. Even better would be analysis of what kind of loadout I tend to choose- you are a long range fighter, fight solo with no support, like to take down capital ships, etc.
Regarding flavor texts, I think you should check them with some grammar check tools like Grammarly, or even Office Word would find a good chunk of typos and grammar errors. You are the native speaker here.
Beta testers get it first! Takes a while for it to be ready on testflight, but should be today or so.
One of the big feature upgrades I’ll be doing sometime in the near future is a full control revamp, including customisable touch layouts.
Thank you thank you thank you. Will test it once it is available and feedback will be passed back onto you.
Direct message me your icloud email, and I’ll add you to the beta testing service. The only downside would be that the game might be a little buggy (it shouldn’t). So if you do want to try it, it’d be great to get feedback, or if you could let me know asap about any bugs / issues, so that I can fix them before making the build live.
