The little explanation screens just make the whole experience seem more polished. ... now about that endless mode.
Glad to hear it! Still have work to do on the tutorial itself, and.. then porting to macOS and tvOS.. and localisation... and... I'll squeeze in new gamemodes along the way lol
How about a big brawler between 2 armies as a new game mode? Minimum scripting required! The only concern is if phones can handle them, considering slowing down occurs even with the current game mode.
Honestly.. I hadn’t considered it. I.. well I’ve always struggled to enjoy games that use motion controls that aren’t VR or 1:1, so yeah.. didn’t plan on it. When I begin work on the controls update I’ll see what I can do! Will definitely need testers for it though! Tempting, but as you noted, performance is a key bit here. The other difficulty is balance, as the game is currently balanced heavily in favour of the player’s weapons. As you say though, minimal scripting.. in fact it’s already part of my stress testing / debug missions. I’ll be doing a proper roadmap post pretty soon!
You don’t have to balance everything yourself. Providing some sort of a sandbox battle will be entertaining enough for me.
I have a general question. Sometimes when I crank the thrusters all the way down, I go to 60 as the lowest speed, yet sometimes I got to 0. How?
Another bug I found. It may because I’m on iPhone 11, but when I switch to portrait to landscape or vice versa, this happens. Words become a jumbled mess.
Oh man. Finally found the bug where you'd not get your loot after a run. Fix will be in the next patch.
Was admiring your game from afar, and then started reading about your trials with the tutorial. I've just bought the game based on your dedication and highly entertaining problem solving on the fly!
Haha just in time too! I've got a big patch currently in internal beta. External testing probably tomorrow? Should be live by thursday if the winds blow our way. (Thanks so much for buying the game btw!)
