Its made in unity and dont have higly detailed textures. So its not quite scaled down, then up in resolution. Then runs on the phone. Unity simply renders to the defined resolution from start. But maybe it does not run on the full resolution, for performance issues. And thus the pixels are stretched over several pixels, by the os of the device. -which either makes it look pixelated/blocky or stretched, depending on the engine/settings (render quality settings). Where some simply show it blocky (16bit like), and others blurs it (jpg like). Unity support both and apparantly they choosed blurry for those instances.
x100 Immediately on my top 10 (maybe 5) games all-time list. This was incredible. Figuring out some of the more clever "puzzles" or ways to proceed was eminently enjoyable. Really, really polished and just well done. A+++++++
Yeah. Actually, THERE IS a secret ending which I found already (wel...two sleepless night later). Still digesting both the first ending AND the second ending. I would love a game like this every month.
How can I dip my toes into the water?! I'm at the point in the game dealing with those water monsters. I know I need to bait them by dipping my toes into the water, but every time I try, I just fall off the rope and into the water. How are you supposed to "inch" down the rope in iOS?
Spoiler This might have been literally the only part of game that didn't always "click"... just slide down slowly. You will fall off a few times (and have to retry each time, but eventually you'll get to point where feet dragging through water. It wasn't super crisp mechanically.
Art Limbo..adnd now Inside.. How far will it go! I love puzzle games but those two are art. I think Limbo puzzles have harder and much better mechanics, Inside is more likely to solce the puzzle with second or third option, no dead ends to stuck but Inside is cinematic itself. You can just sit and watch the almost endless environment. It lets you to take your time and see the beauty. And also big surprises to expect. I recommend to give it a try
Smh I was disappointed too when the graphics were blurry on my iPad. Other than that, excellent game that is well worth its $6.99 price tag.
Had this on my backlog for a while and finally played through it (first ending, anyway). And man, what an outstanding game, and what a fantastic port — at least on the iPhone XS. Now to go get those orbs...
I was thinking of picking this one up (finally) so gave the free version another go. The game looks kinda blurry on my iPhone X. Is it because it’s the trial or there some setting that needs to be tinkered with after the purchase?
The look is an intentional effect — you can compare it to high res YouTube footage of the pc/console version.
Ah. Okay. I was comparing it with iPhone X YouTube videos and it looked pretty much the same. The look doesn’t work for me on mobile. So probably will pick it up on PC/PS4 instead. Thanks for the info.
