Whats a good start-out attribute distribution for a mage? It's kind of weird they retained the non-changing attributes from Inotia 1, which I didn't really like. :x And should I invest skills in summoning monsters at all?
I did train a mage with summoning monster; I can tell it is awesome. Mage is weak in defence, so she needs a long range staff; summon a monster is really helpful at that time, 1) It stays for long like 2 minutes for each summon 2) It becomes a blocker which isolates you from strong monsters, I usually did that trick. 3) You got additional teammate
I actually prefer this system - I like rolling for starting stats and hate it when I have to assign them. As for mage, you NEED 18 INT. After that I'd get 15-18 MEN and 10-18 CON. I'd keep rerolling until you have 18 INT with decent MEN and CON.
This will depend on how your group is set up. If you have a solid tank who can hold aggro as a mercenary, then you don't need to worry about the summoning monster skill tree and can focus on one of your high damage spells (fireball) or one of your root spells (frost). But if you don't have a solid tank who can hold aggro, and find yourself getting hit often, then investing in summoning monsters is a great idea since some of the higher level monsters keep the enemy occupied while you blast away at them.
I think I have a mage with 18 INT, 16 MEN, and 13 CON. That would be ok right? What's MEN anyways? Mentality? What do each of the stats do? I checked the help menu and they weren't explained.
Game Impressions Wow, I'm pleasantly surprised with this purchase. It really is a gajillion times better than the first one - we should just say the first one didn't exist It draws heavily from World of Warcraft, which isn't a bad thing because it's fun. There's enough variety between the player classes and most importantly for me, the appearance of the character changes. I just looted some bunny ears from a chest, and it shows up on my priest's head, how cool is that? I really like this better than Dungeon Hunter because the abilities in Inotia are actually useful (i can actually kite mobs), and the party play makes the battles more fun. Has anyone gotten the mailbox to work? An NPC said you can send items, but is this just not working? It'd be nice to mail items between your own characters.
where is the hidden tunnel to aren? the little tunnel in the north is locked by a stone... i need the hidden map.. where are the orc assaults?
Do you guys get hits bug? when i exit out the game, and then tap the music icon, if you try to change the volume with your finger tapping on the screen, it goes Berserk! I mean it doesnt respond to your finger. So i have to restart in order to listen to music. Maybe its just me having this problem.....
I'm assuming that MEN (mentality, I think) is for the damage that your magic deals, and INT (intelligence) is for how much mana you have. That's just me guessing though, but it makes sense.
i know that the ingredient magic crystal is a reward for completing roch's find his friend quest, but other than that, im not sure
Some quests will give it as a reward, and there is also a combination recipe you can get that allows you to make it yourself as well.
they are given from 1 earlier quest and 1 endgame(after mainboss) quest. also extremely rare drop from monsters. More chance from breaking jars. if you use one up for one of two quests, then you won't be able to complete the other one unless you are super lucky....(that is until you are like lv50) the recipe above guy mentioned is also random drop and can't be farmed with focus. Plus, the recipe requires the other extremely rare ing. (that flower or w/e which is required for quest along with this item). one quest gives 2 weapon enchants and 2 armor enchants the other one gives recipe for chaos combination. both of them have no significant effect on your progression until you are lv40+ or so. enchants give boost to your armor or weapon damage, but when you are low lv, the increase in number is minimal. upto 5 enchants is safe but above that has chance of failure (requires network connection!) chaos combination can bring your item's base stat up or down along with min. lv requirement. It's not really needed in earlier game since you will be getting quest rewards and shop items are decent enough. It's for those who want to buff up epic or legendary item with low lv req+stat to higher lv. So the choice is entirely yours. I'd go with chaos quest because you can get tons of enchants later anyway(like lv40ish).
Superior Flower + Piece of Strength (x2) But without the combination recipe I don't know if it will let you make it. If you have the ingredients, try it out!
Anyone with high lv toon having problem connecting to match up play? When I was around lv20, I was able to play. After getting to lv46, I decided to take break and play few arena games but it won't let me in. I can get my lv1 alts on it tho. What's the problem? Is my toon banned or they don't allow high lv toons on the server yet? I have legit game purchased off itunes store on 3.1.2 jb iphone 3g. Let me know if you have the same problem Also, if you got a question that others don't seem to be able to answer, ask me...I'm not a pro/nor I played this game prior to release. However, this game is ported/renewed game off 2 yr old korean cellphone game. All the stories/quests/monsters/npc/items/game mechanics are 99% identical (not the graphics). I read through most tips/guides so I was able to find answers to all my questions.
INT>MEN>CON>STR=DEX int gives more mana and spell power men gives mana regen and m. resist con gives health and regen (pretty important...even if you kite/tank with others) for mage, str gives defense and dex gives some evade...so they are good, but not so much. If they didn't change anything... it is possible to get 18 x 5...but that's like a small lottery running on your iphone. I went with 18/17/17/14/14 (int men con str dex) which I got after about 3 hours... if you are obessed with numbers..you can keep going. generally, aim int, men, for >=17, con for 16>=, str and dex can are good if they are close to two digit numbers.. summonner type mage was not popular in original version btw. in later game, they don't really do good tanking.
Maybe there's not many high level toons out there on the server? I'm still low level. Could you post the links to the 'tips/guides' you read? I think that they would be useful to me and others on this thread.
