!!!!yes On another note, Inotia 2 just deleted every other game on my iphone except for CoD:Zombies (for when a new map comes out...) because I must focus on leveling
Anyone tried the PVP yet? I'm only lvl 10 but yea I'm getting my butt handed to be, and these aren't even the real players. I seem to run out of potions before they do.
wow! thanks! so Mac, drag and drop! but how about combination recipe? my bag is full of them, how to get the combination book?
tried on the 1st few hours of launch, no one there. All challengers are under lv10, got 4 wins I dunno how is it now.
No problem. The combination book you should probably already have by now, double check your inventory. If you don't have it then, you still need to do a quest that I think Sage Ganel's assistant gives you.
After spending about 5-6 hours on this game, I feel I can put out a decent review of this game, or at least my impressions so far. The graphics for this game were really well done and everything flows very smoothly and is easy on the eyes. I really like the fact that you can actually see differences when you put on different armor and weapons. For controls, I personally use the touch, since I like to see as much of the landscape as I can unimpeded by the v-pad, but thats not to say it doesn't work. Both sets of control scheme work very well, and I feel its all just a matter of personal preference. The music for the game itself is pretty good, but gets a little repetitive. However, it does let you set up a playlist in game to let you listen to your own music while you play. The gameplay is what you would expect out of most RPGs on the Appstore right now, get quests to gather or kill so many of something. I do feel that this game does a good job of advancing the main storyline while not making the quests too grindy. Also, unlike CoI 1, there is little to no grinding outside of quests required as the quests do a good job of giving adequest amounts of XP to get you to the level you need to be. Where the depth of this game shows is the gear and how to customize each character. Admittedly, those who don't like micromanaging might not like this part, but I really enjoyed being able to control 3 characters and deciding what the best gear and enchants for each of them would be. This game also has one profession and its basically everything rolled into one. You can make bags, potions, armor, and ethers for enchanting your equiptment, the equivalent of tailoring, alchemy, blacksmithing, and enchanting in WoW. Despite all the pros, I do have some complaints about the game. While they aren't really major ones, fixing them could really improve the game. I found that, after reading some of the quest texts that they have some errors in them. There were only a few, but they were apparent enough to make me reread the quest to make sure I undersood. Another thing was looking for the actual quests. In Zenonia, the quests actually showed up on the minimap and they really helped cut down on the running around and looking in every building. Finally, I would really like an autosave feature included in possible future updates so that I don't accidentally play for an hour, leave, then come back to find all my progress gone. Overall, this is game is very well thought out and executed and it's definitely the best RPG in the Appstore right now. It was my first insta-buy in a while, and while 7.99 may seem like a lot compared to other RPGs you can get right now for lower prices, it's well worth the money when you consider the amount of content and depth this game has. It also has online multiplayer, which I haven't really tried yet, which guarentees something else to do after you beat the game. So, for 7.99, well worth the buy.
Question: has anyone tried multiplayer? Is the multiplayer only asynchronous or is it in real time? For me, this makes a difference because I'm all about the online. If the pvp battles are in real time, then I will be grabbing this game instantly. Also, *wierd question* can the female characters (priest, rogue, Mage) be gendered to male characters? (A male version of a Mage, priest, and rogue similar with what is available in Diablo 3) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance
The multiplayer is asynchronous and AI controlled. However, it's still tough. Though this lack of true multiplayer is disappointing - at least the computer can generate opponents at any time/any hour of the day/night that you want to play. Plus - you have to win a certain number of battles in a row (4 or 5 I think - without resting in between) - it's pretty tough. Female characters are female only.
So your saying... All the complaints about people losing online is against computer created characters and not actual human created characters? Also, do you at least get to control your own character in the asynchronous battles?
Umm this is odd... The multiplayer (if you wanna call it that) is not working just keep getting an error any one have news about it having it happen to them?
Meh, multiplayer is kinda bad, but that said, I only played 1 challenge. I was fighting a priest and templar with my knight and rogue. Whenever, I got the priest's health down, she always healed and I could never kill her. Eventually I got wiped out because I was focusing on the priest while the templar drained my health. I'll give it another shot later.
instant buy .. loving the single player so far, but multiplayer is a bit dissapointed I think .. I dont know about you guys, but I'd prefer realtime multiplayer (like WoW etc) .. perhaps I'm asking too much, but hey, its not like that is impossible to be done ..
can somebody please explain me what dex, con, int, and men do? and is it important to obtain higher values of one over another during the dice roll when picking out a specific class?
Gotta leave it to Com2Us, they know how to appeal to me... <bunny ears ftw> Also I wish the mail thing works, I have all these seals that I will never need...
... wow just looking at those makes me want to hit the buy button but I'll wait till I finish CoI 1 first, it's been there for the longest time.
^ Yeah haha. Totally agree with you. Looking at the illustrations of the female characters made me almost purchase this despite the fact i regret buying the first because i hated it and never played it. Sex definitely does sell!
I dont get why people choose the priest... the templar can heal and kick ass like a tank, the priest only heals! and with no true real time multiplayer you will be relying on the support of 2 almost dumb AIs... So why choose the priest? There must be something that the templar doesnt have...
I actually chose the knight; here's my tactic: I (the knight) stun the enemy with a special attack, the magician in my group (which took hours for me to get) helps me kill the monster, and the priest in my group heals us if we need it, and contributes to killing the enemy at hand.
I've been playing the game for a few hours now, and i've encountered an item with extra stats called 'Luck Strike: 3%' --- is this similar to Luck?.... Or does this have to do with some kind of attack dmg? Any idea? Thanks! ;]
