Well I like Eli said lets talk about the game, it so fun, easily game of the week for me, it so beautiful when ball hits paint and I can't wait to pay for more levels so the devs see how much I like this
I don't think anyone has asked for this to be F2P. Most of us are saying we would have even paid more up front. It was just confusing. All the dev needs to do is clarify the app description and we'd be good (or at least I would be). And I bought it regardless. Pretty fun take on pinball games. Levels start out petty easy but as you get further holes and other obstacles make it harder to get that one ball gold to get all of the paint. Would be awesome if there was some way to incorporate a table based on the premise that is score based for replayability. And, yes, I'd buy an IAP for it.
It has 75 levels and the rest can be bought for iap that costs almost the same price as I've just paid for what I thought was 100. If I bought a kit Kat and it only had 3 fingers instead of 4 and a note from nestle saying it's another 50p or whatever if you want the other oneI think I'd have a right to express my annoyance and to warn others that it might happen to them. Thing is I really like it and would have happily paid a lot more for it and I'm fairly sure I'll end up buying the iap but it doesn't make me feel annoyed.
What about if you bought an console game yets say they are normally £40 and you moan about such little iap, you put iOS gamers in bad name
What kind of a warning can I add to the first post to make sure that people are appropriately warned before I reboot this thread?
This thread: The thing is, this developer is a tiny art house studio who I am absolutely positively certain is not trying to purposefully mislead anyone. The description says 100+ levels, and it's true! The game has 100+ levels. Should it be clarified if some of them are IAP only? Yeah I think so, but I guarantee it's just an oversight. Or perhaps there's a way to unlock those additional levels through playing, and the IAP is simply to unlock them early. But holy freaking god, the game has literally been out a matter of hours, I wouldn't be surprised if State of Play wasn't even aware it was out already. So maybe before everyone takes their turn freaking out, we could kind of sit back and wait to see what they have to say about the matter? But hey, it wouldn't be the internet if someone wasn't getting outraged about something minor to make themselves feel superior now, would it?
The gamers are to blame not the devs, they need to make a living too, come on people, this game is so much fun, making a one hit splash is the most fullfilling thing I did this year.
I can't believe the greediness that is going on in this thread. If you miss out, so be it. This game cost thousands of dollars to make, and people are complaining about the description regarding IAP unlocking. Seriously, get a grip. Think about all of the Rovio games, where they charge an arm and a leg for IAPs, and this is coming from a die hard Angry Birds fan.
Yeah, I tweet when I see my comments here are getting deleted. I should should continue wasting my time here instead?
Eli came in declaring he was about to delete all the comments related to the IAP. Edit: And he just did.
What is with you guys and complaining about a discussion, then trying to drag people back into the discussion?
For someone who is so concerned about misleading people, saying that your comments are being deleted when they are not actually being deleted seems pretty misleading.
I was wondering why the heck the link from the new release news post comes to this nonsense. And the sirens in the actual post are way over the top
