Shame about the lag issues. I run games on an iPhone 6s+ and iPad air 2. Was tempted but gonna stay in a holding pattern.
I don't know that 'dying' has as much to do with it. Many levels I rarely drain on, but the medal seems arbitrary. EDIT - you're right! Just noticed that the ball and launching hole change color based on the medal that can be achieved on that ball. Hitting it into a black hole counts as dying, and that seemed to be my issue. Thanks!
The way you choose where the ball goes on first start is really elegant, and also when you finish a level and get sucked into the open pocket is very pleasant to watch.
Can someone explain how the coins work. I don't mind iaps but not if I have to pay to actually keep playing.
Coins are for power ups; a slow-no when the ball gets near the paddles and something that block the hole so you don't lose a ball. Completly unnecessary to play, and don't stop you from playing once you use all your coins. Anyone else having the issue of the right paddle staying up, or not registering your touch?
Not sue I like that method of IAPS if power ups are part of the game. It's like selling me a car and charging me to listen to the radio. I don't have to listen to the radio but it's there and is part of the car. If you could earn coins, even at a slow rate it would be some sort of concession. That said I will probably buy it anyway... Just think the coins were a dumb move in a paid app.
The IAP levels are way too hard to complete, IMHO, and as a result not much fun at all. Love the other tables, though.
I just finished the three built-in level packs, with gold stars on all the levels where it's possible. Theres a bug in the app, though, that prevents us from getting 100% on the Melody pack. On level 19, the par is incorrectly set to one. Theyre aware of the problem. As far as the in-app purchase goes? I wouldnt know. Ive never even used any of these items. Theyre not necessary at all. With the notable exception that I already mentioned, you can get par on every level without using any of the power ups. So, really just say no to in-game cheats. Im pretty sure it's more fun without them, so save your Smurfberries for something else.
INKS. (by State of Play Games) Also, it's possible to get under par on a lot of these levels. Sometimes, by quite a bit. Heres what Ive done so far in the first three level packs: Dawn pack Level 22, par 3 Personal best: 2 Melody pack Level 12, par 3 Personal best: 2 Level 16, par 4 Personal best: 2 Level 17, par 12 Personal best: 7 Level 22, par 4 Personal best: 3 Campfire pack Level 5, par 4 Personal best: 2 Level 7, par 3 Personal best: 2 Level 15, par 4 Personal best: 6 Level 16, par 4 Personal best: 6 Level 22, par 11 Personal best: 5 Has anyone found any other levels where it's possible to beat the par?
After playing more, it seems like the IAP perks would be best served for missions that you're having a hard time beating. Because the whole pack is open at once, and you can skip around anyway, they really aren't necessary at all. I keep thinking that it would benefit from being a bit like Dots. Daily free perks, or you can buy a perk to beat a stage, but even beyond that, adding levels constantly, and providing daily challenges and leaderboards...
My question is: what's the difference between 1st place and getting stars? Is it so many hits using the flippers? Totally loving this game and I'm a pinball fanatic.
