About the game it's great fun, an easy reccomondation, it's just great when you make a one splash hit and all the paint burst out of place, great feeling. Jamesrooney27 Well-Known Member May 13, 2014 541 0 16 Male Uk #3 Jamesrooney27, May 4, 2016 Everyone buy this game now, I love how it makes pinball different Eli ᕕ┌◕ᗜ◕┐ᕗ Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Feb 28, 1983 1,269,049 49 48 Barcelona http://elihodapp.com/ #4 Eli, May 4, 2016 Game Impressions This is probably the most interesting game to be released this week. If you're on the fence about it, the basic gist is that it's a level-based pinball game with levels that are cleared by hitting each of the colored areas which you can see in the game's screenshots. What's neat about doing this, is every time you hit one, you leave an ink splat behind, which your ball then tracks through. The ink splats seem to be different depending on which angle you hit them from, so theoretically, the end result of each level should be unique. It's a clever concept for a pinball game, and it looks really cool. If you hate pinball, you'll also probably not like this too much, but it's another neat game on the App Store that does a good job of straddling the line between something that feels like a fun video game and something that feels kind of like an "art game." Another game that did this real well was Monument Valley, which INKS has a somewhat similar vibe to although in a totally different way. Brawwwn Well-Known Member Jul 30, 2015 155 0 0 #8 Brawwwn, May 4, 2016 Walt! Why does it say there are 100+ levels but not mention that some of them are IAP? Hahaha just kidding, some people lol. This is getting me through the day knowing I have this cool looking game to unwind with after work. For anyone that has played both, how does this compare to Zendots? That said, I don't know if I'm feeling these physics. Zen and Color Monkey's physics aren't realistic, but the feel good. These ball physics feel slow and weightless. I wish it felt snappier, heavier, bouncier. As far as I can tell, you are given 100 coins to start, then you have to buy them with IAP. I don’t see a way to earn them. What gives? Let us earn them for ‘free’ since we already paid $2 for the game. You can pay an additional $11.99 for unlimited coins. And I don’t understand the scoring. A level that I replayed with over 20 flips got silver, when I had a bronze with six flips previously. The star rating on another level was at 2, and I completed in two flips, but it gave me silver… Instructions do not detail the scoring. I'm fine with level packs being IAP, but no way to earn coins? Anyone understand the scoring? redribbon Well-Known Member Jun 11, 2010 2,799 53 48 entepreanur, programmer #17 redribbon, May 5, 2016 as far as i know there is no way to earn the coins other than buy it from iap store. about the scoring system, if you can get all the colors in one flip then you will earn the stars ball, 2. get all the colors with more than one flip will get you the gold ball medal, 3. get all the colors and died once will get you the silver ball, 4. died twice, bronze ball, 5. died more than 3 times will get you a darker ball until it gets black at some point. actually these ball medals means nothing than an achievement and will affect nothing in coins or score. Brawwwn Well-Known Member Jul 30, 2015 155 0 0 #18 Brawwwn, May 5, 2016 I'm torn here. On one hand you get 72 levels for 2 bucks and that is a lot. I feel like state of play would have been better off just releasing the 2 dollar game with 72 levels because that is a great value. On the other hand... There is no other hand. 72 levels for 2 bucks!! I couldn't get a word in edgewise when I was complaining about clash royales ridiculous free to play system but now with this game everyone is calling foul because they don't get why there aren't over 200 levels included for the asking price. Super cell might as well make a pinball game cuz even if you had to pay for extra balls apparently people would shit all over the place for it. skylined87 Well-Known Member Nov 9, 2014 457 0 16 #19 skylined87, May 5, 2016 After playing the first few levels, I immediately bought the other 2 packs. This game is beautiful, and pretty addicting! I'm already finished with the first 3 packs, and I have yet to have a need for a power up. I most likely will not be spending any money on the coins IAP, but these guys deserve it more than most of these other studios. If I had the spare cash I would just to support them.
