After a little more tinkering around, I've found that I can start the game in airplane mode, then switch out of airplane mode and play the game just fine as long as I don't enter the shop at all. Also, each time I start the game in airplane mode and then turn airplane mode off and go back into the game, it asks for my apple ID password. I'm guessing this is all due to the game freezing during my purchase of the starter pack. I guess I'm going to try deleting and reinstalling to see if that fixes it. I'm just scared of losing any progress.
You don't need to worry about losing any progress because the game saves your information on the Cloud. After reinstalling the app, just tap the Cloud button on the top right corner of the Main Menu to reload your game save.
Well, good news is my problem got fixed. Bad news is I lost all my progress. I followed the istructions on the WB support page so my icloud backup was up to date. The problem is that after I reinstalled, there is no icould button to be found to restore my progress. I never saw one before, either. At least I wasn't too far into the game. I had about half of the batgirl challenge completed and I was half way through the second page of the regular battles. On the plus side, when I went into the shop, it automatically restored my starter pack purchase and I got two harley quinns and green lantern. So at least I get to start all over with an elite 1 silver card.
I love this game. The concept around it, the integration with the console versions, and the pick-up-and-play value. The gameplay is not very deep, no, but it's still all right. It's simple and fun, and I prefer the easier experience to Infinity Blade II (which I have already given up on after an hour or so). The integration with unlocking costumes and icons, etc. in the console version of the game is awesome, too. I've never seen that before. It feels so cool to have it all connected like that, you know? Also, the IAP system seems pretty fair. The amount of money you can spend on IAP is ludicrous, but I have yet to hit a paywall... and getting Batman Beyond Batman has given me the upper hand in single player so far (I'm nearing the end of the second page of Battles, so we'll see what happens later on). I'm really liking this game. I'm wondering what the history with IAPs is with the game, though. My friend refuses to update his version because he says Warner Bros. really screwed over people who wanted to grind for Credits in an earlier version. Was the change really that bad?
Just unlocked Batgirl.Lets see if she's any good. Edit: She's a powerhouse.Granted its early but I can tell she's a formidable opponent.
Yeah, after update version 1.4, grinding for credits became harder. Fewer XP and harder battles made it unenjoyable. Didn't really notice anything different from this version because, I have my three chars maxed!!
Question for anyone that has Batgirl and/or Lobo: the damage stat shown on the character card for the third special attack seems to be wrong (I think it's the same as the regular, unadjusted by enhancements, damage stat), even though when actually using the speical attack I believe the correct damage amount is applied (though I don't know what it is exactly). Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks.
A more time efficient method is doing the first bonus battle. 2 per battle and it just uses one energy. Drawback is little exp and coins, but everyone on my roster except for batgirl is maxed out.
There was a change in some of the Battles, with the update that came before this week's update. The grind is now somewhat slower, but the new content more than makes up for it. Grinding credits can't be an end in itself, right? IAPs are not attractive once you're past the first stages of the game. I'd say the Credits situation is just about alright, as things stand.
Wish I had read this thread before I finished the challange and recieved my BatGirl! would have saved me 60K, but that's alright I made 600K selling off all my duplicate characters and support cards! I was actually over 1 million coins for a brief period of time.
With the ability to sell cards/duplicates booster packs are a much better option and a good way to upgrade special abilities. 75K daily Gold pack you get back 40-65K for a duplicate (depends on character) 35K Silver will give back around 12-18K for a duplicate (depends on character) 8K bronze will give back 2-4K for a duplicate (depends on character) Did a little experimenting with bronze packs and lost very little money. Bought three packs and actually made a few K and my first New 52 Flash, tried 3 more and came across a glitch that freed up a few extra bronze and a silver character that didn't show up initially. Finally spent 40K on 5 more packs, but after selling off my duplicates it only ended up costing 17K and also ended up with 3 level 2 special abilities.
Has anybody else got a little box pop up mid battle that says 'Max Health Increased'? I haven't noticed any changes though :/
