I'd say (at least for the Bronze characters) that promotion is far more valuable. Since your bronze characters will eventually be outclassed by Silvers and Golds, it doesn't make much sense to pour money into special skills that don't carry over to the silver and gold tiers. The only times I upgraded the skills for a bronze with cash was to give my main team a way to beat a battle I was stuck on-- but if it's not necessary to beat a fight, your money's better spent somewhere other than skill upgrades until you have a team you know won't be set aside any time soon.
Noob here, that same thing happened to me so how do I go about getting my $5 back from apple? There's no Injustice support email that I could find so I tried their twitter to no avail.
At least 3 methods, 1. Go to your purchase history within iTunes, click on "Report a Problem". It's not available in all countries, nor is it always working, but it's the most streamlined way if available/working. 2. Click on a report a problem link from the email receipt you receive within a few days of buying something. 3. http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ Click on the "contact iTunes Store support" Click on "Purchases, Billing, & Redemption" Select "Topic is not listed", give it a title like "Refund Request", this takes you to their email submission form. ------- In the body (keep it short) Give them the order # Briefly but thoroughly explain what happened, e.g. "I tried to purchase the in-app purchase Starter Pack in the game "Injustice: Gods Among Us". After receiving the Thank You message the game locked up and crashed. When I restarted it I found I didn't receive the characters in the starter pack but was charged the $4.99. Since there is no way to restore purchases in this game I would like a refund since I did not receive the starter pack characters but was charged the $4.99" Wait and hope you get a good rep.
Thanks! Appreciate it C.Hannum, I'm at work and away from a computer with iTunes but I'll try one of those methods when I get home. I really like the game but this is the kind of thing that would cause me to stop playing on principle. Thanks again though for taking the time to explain!
There is another way that I found. On my iTunes receipt for the Starter Pack, I clicked on the "Report a Problem" link, but instead of choosing "Item was accidentally purchased" as others have recommended, I chose "Item doesn't function as expected." This directed me to the App Site and there was a button called "App Site". That took me to WB Games Support Site. I opened a case with them about the issue. I got an answer back this morning as follows: "We have released an update that resolves some issues in the game, including the Starter pack issue for future purchases. It does not fix the issue for people who have already made the purchase. We are working on a way to resolve that issue for people who have already made the purchase. Details will be forthcoming. The update also does not resolve the issue with saving game progress on the Cloud. That update will be forthcoming as well." Here's hoping they follow through on this. -- Sir Grail
This is why I said to choose accidentally purchased. You skip all this BS and get your money back. Just go back and select the option for accidental purchase. I tried resolving the issue like you did and finally said screw it and got my money back.
Except that "accidentally purchased" is one of those categories that they only do once or twice and then you just get sent links to the help documents explaining how you can configure iTunes to render it impossible, or, better yet, you can get an overzealous rep who will lock your account for several days while you explain, no, someone did not gain access to my account, when I said, "I have no idea how the item was purchased", I meant it was an accident of some kind (this actually happened to me, lost access to my iTunes account for over a week while they made me jump through hoops verifying my identity and resetting all security measures all because I said something akin to that). Really, if you have one of the handful of cases that Apple regards as a bonafide legit reason for a refund, USE IT. Why you would want to burn one of your get out of jail free cards because you're too lazy to write a few sentences in a CS email (but are more than happy to repeatedly write about how smart you were to do avoid doing so in this thread) escapes me.
Thank you for the suggestion, but I would rather not. I did not accidentally purchase it and I prefer to be honest about that. I would rather wait to see if they can fix it. If that means that I don't get what I paid for, then so be it. It's only money and a rather small amount at that. -- Sir Grail
I wrote to Apple, contacted WB, then wrote Apple again. After no response I got my money back. So I don't know what this "lazy" shit is about. Learn to ####ing read.
And to make it worse, because of a bug I lost cards that I had paid $20 for. Which I won't get back. So why don't you get the whole story before you start talking shit.
Just getting to set 3. Have 2 silver and one bronze. Should I upgrade the silvers or safe the money for a gold pack? 75k is a load to farm
Depends, if your using the free energy thing then def gold. Or you don't have much play time, if your gonna farm for cash then silver bronze packs make sense as you can rotate your card roster for energy usage.
If you're grinding for money without using the energy exploit, I think bronzes and silvers should take precedence over gold, until you have all the silvers. For a few reasons: one, as troy said, it gives you more teams to fight with, which gets you money faster (using six fully energized teams on the first page bonus battle and playing all of them through the ladder until they were exhausted, I racked up roughly $20,000). But also, if you have a strong set of multiple silver cards, it'll make working through the later stages much less of a pain. Not only do fights start costing more and more energy, but the enemies get exponentially stronger starting in page 3. So without a deep roster of silvers, it'll take you much longer to fight through the later ladders (since if you rely on one gold team to do the heavy lifting, they'll get used up fast).
