Are you saying you got 7-8k for beating sinestro after the first time? I only got around 1-2k for beating him after the first time. Also did you download the update? I'm wondering if they nerfed the boss battles gold payouts

    Here is a top tip:

Don't use a super-duper special (3 bars) on a Black Adam that's just tagged in. Apparently the damage you get back from the Gold one's lightning shield is proportional to the damage you are inflicting. I just killed my Supes by trying this on the Gold Black Adam in the Doomsday bonus battle...

Nah... i only have 2 e5 gold cards... Doomsday and Bane. Adam's at e4 (somehow him and Bane are pretty common) everything else is at least e1, except for Superman Prison and Gold Harley who's both at base rank.

Could someone explain the energy exploit to me? I set the time forward and it works, but when I reset the time back to the real time and try again, no energy is given.

Okay, so my plan for optimizing grinding efficiency is to get a bunch of silvers, and make them all strong enough to be able to grind out the post-Sinestro bonus battle routinely. That should make cash grinding a lot easier, and then I'll start going for Golds.

Most recent silver pack I bought netted me a Regime Cyborg. Is it just me, or does he really suck? Is his strength in his special moves?

The BONUS battles (the star levels) that appear after beating the boss are the money grinding spots. They always keep the big payout and the end.

His second move (like most characters) is much better. He is still a little crappy though.

Yeah it's been mentioned a couple of times, but alas, here we go again >_>
You turn on airplane mode, then set your time back 1 year then launch the game, every time your characters are out of energy, move the clock up 2 hours. Rinse and repeat.

So has the three of the same character glitch been fixed in the update?

I don't know, but I don't really see why you'd need it that much anyways. I know you level up way faster but you can already do that just by normal battling.

Sorry, I just really wanted an extremely easy grind spot lol. And Regime cyborg isn't bad. His level two is much much better that bronze cyborg's and I think his level one can stun now too. Plus he's a good sponge, and when you get his level 3 you can just leave him on the sidelines for a while (his ability allows faster power charge while out of the battle) and take him out to obliterate someone with his laser cannon thing

Yeah the Doomsday Bonus Battle yields roughly 8-12k EXP per battle so it's good for grinding and EVERYTHING :D

Is that third tier? Just looked at the line-up for that and almost pooped my pants.

The last 3 battles will prove of some difficulty for some since the second last and the third last have somewhat decent Gold Card members.

I really wonder if there are any other Doomsday types other than Regime and Normal.

Patch said it resolved the issue with the starter pack. Just installed the patch and I don't notice anything different.

How did it get resolved? I'm not reinstalling this since I already have a gold character.

On my iPhone 4S, it doesn't work. When I click on iCloud icon (on the main screen), the app crashes.

On iPad 3, there is no iCloud icon

Is it better to upgrade each characters skills, or to buy bronze packs to get them promoted?

The patch says it resolved the issue with *purchasing* the packs - those who already purchased the starter pack and didn't receive the bonus 2 silver characters (/raises hand) were not be addressed. I'm not even sure they could be addressed because of the way they set it up.

Apple will give you your $5 back, you probably got the Harley Insurgency, and, as you say, you've already reached a gold card anyhow so the missing 2 silver cards is no longer a big deal.

I think promotion just increases base attack and health points; skill upgrades give a stronger special attack. It's hard to compare directly but I would assume a higher standard attack might be more useful than a special rare move but it depends on your play style. So much of the game is trying to trigger special moves and if upgraded some of those can really clear the playing field. A mixture of both might be ideal.
