The Injustice updates are ALWAYS HUGE... LOL. The Challenges are all included... it's usually about four challenges per update. EDIT: Oops... I missed the Feb 4th Injustice (bugs) update. I guess I've been playing too much Destiny.
OK... I went back to my older sources (WASDUK, Henxcingaming, FaceBook, and the other BBs) and did some digging. The last update was a "bug fix"... it was meant to prevent people from taking advantage of the "purchase glitch" where players could tap on purchases multiple times and get multiple booster packs for the price of one. http://wasduk.com/2015/01/23/iosandroid-injustice-dont-fear-the-glitcher/ WB_Daniel (game rep) has made some threatening comments on the subject on the FB page. The boards are also predicting that Zatana will follow the RSGL Challenge before MKXS or Static are released... that kinda makes sense since the Android users are still catching up with Challenge Cards. In any event... the iOS Injustice updates are always unusually LARGE, about 750mb or so; however, since the launch I have had to keep a whole gig open just to download the update.
To be fair, that purchase glitch did break the multiplayer completely in the game. Not sure how they are going to fix that one. Or why it took so long to update it out. But either way, no 5 or 7 match wins with well over a month for me and very few 3 wins. Too many level 50 vii's with way over 300 gear. My poor v, iv and iii gear 12 team just can't handle that. I thought the matchmaking was just broken there for a while but there's either a hell of a lot of hackers out there or a hell of a lot of people used that glitch a whole lot. That link you gave there explains a lot though, thanks for that. I can still play single battles but have to keep cancelling and retrying until I come across someone else who hasn't used that "glitch", ie someone who hasn't got all 300 plus geared maxed characters. I'll play it out for a bit longer and see if they reset those that did use it but I suspect the numbers who have are too high for that to be an option. And yes, I know a reset would be a bit unfair to those who didn't hack and glitched, but I have to say the impact for those who neither glitch nor hack is pretty much the same unfortunately. Still, it was a good run for two years, I enjoyed my time with it. It's a pity about the glitch causing multiplayer to be broken. I'm really not quite ready to hit that little "x" in the corner just yet, I just don't see much of another option when it's so difficult to actually win even a single multiplayer matchup after two years of collecting cards and playing legitimately with a purchase or three here and there just to say thanks. Just too many maxed gear cards and maxed characters out there now because of the glitch.
I know what you mean... I've been playing pretty religiously for nearly the whole time. I have quite a few E-VII/ LVL-50 cards, but I have absolutely NO fully evolved gear (and I STILL don't have Shazam). I avoided the MP side of the game for awhile... the iFunBox "hackers" pretty much ruined the MP experience right after it launched. It's still quite irritating to see someone in a Multi-Player match using an E-VII/LVL-50 Challenge Card that's only been out for a day or two (or in some cases they haven't even been released yet). I still haven't managed to nab an Ares or CCBatgirl from MP, but I'm not complaining [as much as I used to].
I don't bother with MP. Never have. I play this game for the characters and the rewards for MP aren't worth the time investment. The gears concept is pretty worthless in single-player. It's nice but hardly worth chasing after. There are a couple of characters that are MP only but I'm not about to put in the time chasing them. That experience has already ruined other games for me. I like the fact you can play Injustice and experience 99% of the game's content without having to do all the PvP nonsense.
Yeah, I rarely bother with MP in this kind of game either but that damned Casandra Cain just became too much of a draw. And Ares. Bloody cruel addictive fun games. Still, not taking away from the game, it's still top notch entertainment perfect for mobile. The character rewards in MP just drew me into that element in a big way. Prior to that I hadn't bothered with it. It's just a bit disappointing that a glitch was abused to such an extent that it broke that element of it. In saying that, I'll probably continue with the challenges. They were good enough before MP arrived so there certainly good enough still. Next one will give me opportunity to max my Killer Frost. Plus, I really must finally beat that final bonus battle.
Did they shorten the challenge window? Was it always 8 days? I could of swore it was longer, I like it better at 8 days if thats new.
Yeah, they changed it. It probably has something to do with the pending update that was moved around because of that glitch and getting the fix out first and then incorporating the fix in to the next update that had been planned. The current challenge and the previous one were originally meant to be two new characters and be of a longer period. I would expect it to be back to normal once this challenge runs out and the previously planned for update comes out a few days later (probably).
Long Time No See Good to see you're still here. I haven't been too active for awhile... I've been playing a crapload of Destiny. I still knock out the Challenges though... I posted the MKXS & Static Heads Up a day or two ago. There was two new Challenge Cards and two repeats in this last batch... I expect the same in the next one... they're trying to let the Android Users catch up. Static looks to be INCREDIBLY OP... Henxcingaming posted a good character review on YouTube. Maybe they'll scale him back a bit before they actually release him <crossing fingers>
Double XP weekend. So if you've characters to level up, now would be the time. Edit. Briscoe, that YouTube kid you mentioned is one awful hacker, how have they not banned him yet is truly beyond me. Don't mean anything against you at all now just in case it seems that way. I know you wouldn't endorse that at all. It's just crazy that he is doing it so publicly with no repercussions.
I have never beat a challenge on Expert yet. I could get all the way to the end but would have to skip the last fight. Final Fight is Killer Frost Level 40 Elite II with 99k of Health (!) Random Tag, no Supermove. Sheesh. I beat her with Black Adam - Regime - Level 42 Elite IV The Joker - Level 44 Elite VI The Joker - Insurgency - Level 38 Basically, I got off one poison bomb and one acid flower. Was able to keep Black Adam alive while she took out both Jokers. By that point, she had no health and I just hand slapped her once to take her down. Incredibly close fight but it feels good to finally beat expert. Only been playing about 2 months. Now, onto Nightmare difficulty (Like I have a chance with my current cards)
Henxcingaming Yup... that kid from Henxcingaming uses plenty of cheats/hacks. He readily/openly admits it; however, he's one of the few that does it for knowledge's sake. He plays hacked profiles offline (and shares them with others) while playing a legit WB profile online. Do I condone it... No. But the MP game has been ruined by iFunBox since it launched. I only have one device... and one profile. I've been playing legit since launch, but this kid's "challenge heads up" have been pretty helpful to those with smaller decks. I'd never risk my hard earned/grinded deck for an extra card or two (I'm one of the launch vets who STILL doesn't have a single Shazam). Filter back through my posts... I've been around A LONG time. There's some pretty good tricks & tips in there.
That's what cracks me up about that article. It's like he's saying that people that use the glitch, which is their fault, are worse than the hackers. Both are cheating the system but the hackers are in MP using impossible to beat teams and winning, but no one cares about that. When I play MP I only use bronze teams because then I get fair fights. If I use gold it gets too far out of hand.
CONGRATS on your Expert Challenge Ladder completion... Some sage advice though: IF you're not ready for the Nightmare Ladder, don't waste your time or energy on the stages you're not ready to complete. The payouts (XP/Coins) aren't worth the effort. You're better off farming Battle 36 or BB6 for coins until there's either another Challenge or a sale. Having 1 million coins in the bank BEFORE a Challenge starts should allow you to purchase the prerequisite cards you'll need to defeat the next Challenge. I've posted a heads up for MKXS and Static. Good Luck
Most E7 level 50 gold cards should be able to beat the Expert challenge. If you've not done so yet I suggest investing in the Red Son packs. Even if you have to carry one lame team member into the fight, two maxed cards should do it. Like you though, I've never beat the Nightmare because my bronze and silver teams need to be stronger.
Yup... WB_Daniel's threatening the BANHAMMER (or resets) on people who are/have abused the purchase glitch. The dedicated hackers/cheaters will always find a way around the account bans and resets. I dunno if the last patch includes new detection protocols on this subject, but I wouldn't risk it. I don't play much MP... and never anything above the Standard Battles. The Cheaters have pretty much owned the Expert and Epic Battles since MP launched. I'll continue to post info I can glean from alternate sources FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
