Ah you're right. I guess that is OVERALL better. I plan on doing them all once I have a full gold team. Should take a day or so.
Same for me. It is the first time that I buy IAP for a game, and it didn't work. After my account password validated, the game crashed, and when I relaunched the game, I had only Silver Harley Quinn, and not the 2 others characters. I'm totally disgusted
I played this game intensively, and lemme just say that having silver characters allows you to walk all over a lot of opponents. I currently have Sinestro (Regime), Harley (Insurgency), Green Arrow, and Lex Luthor (Insurgency) for Silvers, then I have Flash, Green Lantern, New 52 Green Lantern, Sinenstro, Lex, Harley, Nightwing, and Catwoman for Bronzes. I think just earning one Gold would be enough to plow through most of this game already. I'm stuck at the point where I need 3 energy per fight already. Is it for everyone? Not really. But I like it a lot. It's not as deep as Tekken Card Battle, though, which has a more robust Rock-Scissors Paper method, but muuuch worse timers than this.
It's a solid game, I'm having fun. Though... Yeah, you're gonna want to get gold cards eventually. I think you could probably get by with one silver card and two golds if the silver is five elite but the difficulty really ramps up on the last page.
Thanks for writing out a credits gains chart! I figured the first page bonus battle was the place to grind for a gold to smash Sinestro, so nice to see I was right. I was banging my head against the wall trying to beat the silver Green arrow team in the regeneration ladder (the battle right before Sinestro), but then I just decided to let go of some of my funds and buy tier 2 moves for Flash, Nightwing and Green Lantern. Made a world of difference! It'll take me longer to get a gold pack by a bit now, but I think it's a worthwhile investment in the long-term.
Just opened my first silver pack, got a sinestro regime, doctor fate support card, and a superman upgrade The packs are a lot better value than buying everything seperate. Also, how can you back up the save data to icloud?
Dr. Fate is in this? Wat. I was lucky enough to get a gold doomsday with my gold booster. I thiughtmy girlfriend was lucky when she got normal batman, then I saw how awesome doomsday is... He's already more useful than my lv 20 silver doomsday at lv 10, with his stats and great ability
I think Fate's just an EXP-boosting support card, iirc. I almost have enough for my first gold pack; just a couple more runs up the page 1 bonus ladder. Super excited. Also awesome to think about is how many more pages there still are to go-- I'm gonna be getting a lot of mileage out of this game.
Good luck! I'm hoping for batman beyond for my next one, though I doubt I'll get it since I'd imagine the hidden characters are extremely rare in booster packs
I can't get past battle 13, the one with knightfall bane. My roster is: level 17 flash elite 2, level 17 green lantern elite 1 and level 8 sinestro regime Any tips?
Sooo I'm on the team page. I removed Harley Quinn from my 3-man roster, but now I can't seem to pick up Nightwing to put in the place... wtf? EDIT: Weird, I had to move the card in the first slot to the third slot in order to be able to move the card up...
It's a freemium game with grinding, energy timers, and very simple button mashing gameplay mechanics. However, it's somehow so much better than you'd expect. The simple (no button) tap/swipe combat is fluid/revolutionary on touch screen and the difficulty can be nice. I'd say give it a try for a free download even if you have to delete some stuff but it won't be for everyone. For some reason I can't stop playing; but I don't know why myself. It's still there on my iPod; it says limit to 1 75k gold pack per day so if you already bought one within the past 24 hours you might have to wait for it to re-appear (?). This is what I did too (only using Nightwing), the drain energy attacks are really effective. Also, after draining his energy try to sub in a character with powered up special attack (your level 17 elite II Flash should ware down a good amount of Bane's health) then jump back to energy draining. The Knightfall Bane battle is epic and a lot of fun, maybe this was meant to be a paywall but I had a blast going for the gusto. People reported earlier iCloud doesn't seem to be working (yet) but the developers commented they were issuing some fixes so that will likely get corrected (fingers crossed).
If you're curious enough to ask, it's free, so probably yes. Why not try it? It's pretty enough, but extremely shallow. In practice, despite the cards and leveling up and such, it's duller than Infinity Blade. There's barely any variety to the fighting, you'll feel like your taps are being ignored half the time, and to top it off its an energy based game, so even if you somehow get in a zombie like tapping groove, you'll be either waiting to play more, or paying cash for another few fights just like an arcade machine. There's something about the structure of the game that's really un satisfying as well. It's one thing in infinity blade to be going up against the same guys over and over again, but I felt like there was progression and variety there. Here you're just in random bouts with 3 characters from the roster, including often the same character you're playing. There's no theme, no story, you're all just puppets going through the motion, same 3 hit light combo, same 3 hit heavy combo, and a smattering of similar specials. The game is mildly buggy too. I've had instances of music not playing, or sound effects stuck looping on some screens. I've had the specials fire off without my input. I've had characters fail to block even when nothing else is going on, and I'm clearly holding down two fingers on the screen. It's not enough to kill the game, but it sure makes it feel low rent. For me anyways, ultimately this was all a let down. Especially when you consider how much work obviously went into the art and sound for this thing.
Well, I finally saved up enough for a gold pack-- and I got the Joker. Is he as worthless as he appears to be, or is there a reason I shouldn't be mad? I hope I'm missing something here. EDIT: Never mind; Joker's a beast. Power-leveling him on a later series of fights and at level 6 he's already close to leaving by 16 silver Green Lantern in the dust as far as raw stats go. Once I unlock his second special attack, I think he'll be a machine. And the bonus he gets with Harley thanks to her ability ain't shabby, neither.
