Dude I felt exactly the same way so I actually bought the $19.99 coin pack! It was worth it I mean this is one of my most played IOS games and it was free.

Money Free & Guilt Free Been grinding since the first Zod Challenge and I haven't spent a dime; however, IF they ever come out with a coin doubler, I WOULD BUY IT.
No worries... ANY of the Cyborg or GA cards should work for the challenge. The first ladder is usually pretty easy... if you have a few promoted Gold Cards you can sub a Bronze or Silver Cyborg or GA to complete your teams on those rungs. We still don't know what order the challenges will post... maybe you'll get lucky and have time to grind. You only have to beat the ladders ONCE to collect a card and unlock them in the store. Challenge Heads Up I've been following this kid on YouTube since the WW600 update. Henxcingaming has been (so far) 100% for challenge heads up and (pre-release) character/card reviews... He can't tell us what order the challenges post in, but it let's us focus on where to spend our effort and our coins. Remember the sales in between challenges... it's been a good clue as to which challenge will post next.
Do we know anything about how good these challenge characters will be? Ie. Red Son Batman sounds super awesome but is he better than AO Deathstroke? Sad story - I got to the final fight in Bonus 5 and had Doomsday down to just a sliver of health and got defeated, since then I have got my butt kicked by them about 25 straight times, so I have quit the battle and gone back to grind some more. My team was: TT Cyborg E1, Green Arrow, Silver Green Lantern. It's basically like fighting short handed because GL can't sustain punishment due to his low health. I have GLS, Bane, Batman and RWW on the bench - Batman and RWW aren't much help as they are low level (for now).
Well I for one farm BB5 for coins and exp so once you can get several teams that can beat it you can roll right through it in about 10-15 min.
Gear Cards I really love this game, I have been playing since its release, but I can't stand these gear cards! What a cash grab! You work hard to elite your teams and then they add this to the game. Having to shatter and fuse them to upgrade them even more and then you have to add in credits on top of that. It is really frustrating to those that never hacked this game.
as far as I know after facing opponents who have both of them, I can be sure that AO Deathstroke is better. I mean,man his passive makes his special 1 ridiculously powerful and he looks really cool, too
The nice thing about RS Batman is he has the same stats as RS Wonder Woman. He will make your Red Son team muck more formidable because you can substitute him for Grundy, who is kinda weak, and give your team more punch. But you loose Grundy's passive which was 45% more health. Not seen Deathstroke's stats yet.
All I know is I need to get RS Batman. Even if he had the stats of a bronze Harley Quinn, having Batman in a furry Russian hat is enough for me.
Challenge Cards From my experience, the Challenge Cards are usually upper tier cards... Scorpion was the exception (until the update boosted him). AOD's passive: when you score 100% of Special 1 it becomes UNBLOCKABLE +8% damage per/promotion. When you max him at E-VII/LVl-50 that's nothing to shake a stick at. Add good Special 1 related gear and it could be devastating. RSB's passive: ALL Red Sons Special 1s have a chance to become UNBLOCKABLE. I'm liking this w/RSS +RSWW or RSD LB Passive: Chance to stun +25% more damage upon tagging in.
RSD is only available to me through challenge booster packs, I wish I had started earlier. 80k away from my final Red Son booster pack. After that maybe AO Batman.
