Challenge Heads Up Henxcingaming has posted a challenge heads up for Red Son Batman and Luchador Bane... No word on Arkham Origins Deathstroke... don't know what order they will post in. Gotta love this kid; however, a warning against using his hacks... YOU WILL GET BANNED from multiplayer. RSB: 1) Bronze Cards ONLY 2) Lex Luthor MUST be on your team 3) Silver Cards ONLY 4) Joker MUST be on your team 5) Catwoman MUST be on your team LB: 1) Bronze Cards ONLY 2) Wonder Woman MUST be on your team 3) Silver Cards ONLY 4) Nightwing MUST be on your team 5) Flash MUST be on your team This will give you an idea who to buy and/or promote. If RKF's Nightmare Ladder was the new example, you WON'T get through it without E-V/LVL-40 teams or above... you will definately need Insurgency Joker, Batman Returns Catwoman, New 52 Nightwing, and Elseworld Flash almost maxed out to earn the Bullet Proof Batsuit and Bane's Venom Injection System. The three star gear is an AWESOME win if you can get it. Good Luck
Thanks for all the advice. I just got my 2nd gold booster pack and got Green Arrow - I didn't even know he was available in the gold packs. He's pretty cool. I have every character I need to complete the challenge (once Harley unlocks for my daily login) except for Black Adam. I think he unlocks at some point in the game I heard?
So excited! My first gold pack got me Regime WW, which I wasn't really happy about. But she has served me well. All I really wanted was a Batman and Superman. So today, months later, I've finally saved up enough to get another gold pack. And it was Insurgency Batman! Super happy about that one. Guess I'll keep going. I needed that one to keep me motivated. Next, hopefully Superman.
Anyone want to share there first awesome character and what got them hooked on the game? So first starting out it was a bit rough with all bronze characters, then I landed a silver deathstroke! That card literally got me hooked fast because he was awesome, I used him for a long time and he got me through a crap load of battles.
I beat Battle 48! Woot! The character that got me into the game and hooked me was when I discovered Regime WW's passive and started upgrading her. (pre nerf) I felt like I could take on the world. I planned on finishing the game with her. Then I got wiped and she got nerfed all in one day. I decided to start over (WB did nothing for me) and switched to the Red Son team as my A team. I could no longer use the Regime gimmick to win so it was like playing a different game. I can't wait to add RS Batman!!! I wish I has RS Deathstroke but honestly it would take forever to get him playable since he won't show up in my store.
I ONLY played to get Batman Beyond for the console... my nephew wouldn't let me stop until I grinded out Batman Prime... OMG it took a MONTH. Then I got Red Son Wonder Woman in my first gold booster (LUCKY)... but I wasn't hooked until I got my first challenge card: Red Son Deathstroke!!!
Ok, I got my 3 gold cards that I will be sticking with for a while while I save up for a Red Sons pack. My 3 are Bane, Green Arrow, and "Green Lantern" Sinestro. I'd like some input from the experts in here on what they think about Green Arrow and GL Sinestro golds; consensus around the net seems to be that Bane sucks, though I'm still glad to have him Did I get lucky the other two - they seem to both be awesome so far!
OK... Considering most of us with a console used Prison Superman as our gold starter, you're not doing too bad. While Bane is a low tier gold card w/a crappy passive, he's got good stats and a nice Special 2 which will has the ability to hit multiple opponents (if you knock one out). GL Sinestro is a nice mid-tier gold card with good stats. GLS's passive is nice IF you can time it right. Whittle an opponent with your Bane or Green Arrow to about the half way mark then tag in GLS... once you get them to about 1/3 health they will tag out and set you up for a good +50% special. NOW... Let's talk about your Green Arrow. The Gold Green Arrow is another mid-tier gold card; however, his passive makes him a wild card (almost as fun as Martian Manhunter). GA's Special 1 power drain is an AWESOME advantage. I would set them up with GA, GLS, and then Bane. Use GA's Special 1 to keep opponent power down while Bane and GLS are building Specials (keep a super in your pocket if you can). Don't invest too heavily in Bane... Focus on GA and/or GLS. It'll take about 100k/ea to max out specials (plus about 1200/ea for support cards), but that will get you to higher credit/xp battles. The Red Son Booster is a LONG grind at lower level battles... but the payoff is worth it.
Hey Briscoe, have you beaten battle 49? Any advice on how to handle the last fight with AO Batman? He is a beast!!!
Thanks a lot for the advice! For the challenge the only thing standing in my way is I don't have a Black Adam character. I heard somewhere he is unlocked for free at one point in the game after completing a battle - can anyone confirm? If not I will be in trouble for the challenge.
Battle 49 Nope... not yet. I've made it all the way to AO Batman Boss Battle several times with no problems, but I haven't made it passed him yet. Not having passives or super moves makes that one EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. My last try was with the Red Son Team (Grundy not Deathstroke) at E-VII/LVL-48 and I still got my but whooped by AOB. I'm gonna try again when I get them all to LVL-50. Thinking about using the team with the best health stats at E-VII/LVL-50 (RSS, AOB, and Darkseid) but I would have to buy another AOB and two more Darkseids... I'm thinking gear (of any kind) in all three slots; however, I'm hoarding coins for the next challenge. Three star gear would definately make a difference.
G-Man, You'll need to beat Bonus Battle 5 to earn Regime (Gold) Black Adam. I don't think you'll make it without an E-II or E-III gold card in your deck. If your just going for the Black Adam to complete the RKF challenge, you may be better off buying him directly from the store. The silver Black Adam is significantly cheaper; but RBA would be the better buy.
Thanks for that heads up. I'm going to try to get there with my current cast and I'll let you know how I do. I'm currently on battle 25 and zooming through pretty easily with my 3 golds right now, so we'll see how it goes. I just don't want to spend 133k on a guy I'm going to be getting anyway for free when I'm trying to save for that Red Sons pack. By the way, is there a website that lists characters the game gives you as you progress? In some ways it would be good to be surprised, but in another the info would help me plan
AO Batman is the BOMB!!! There's a reason AOB costs 375k... He is, without a doubt, the most powerful card in the game. I prefer him to RSS because his passive (start w/two bars of power) is AWESOME. RSS must be paired w/other Red Sons for his passive to work (well). If you pair AOB w/Batgirl he starts the battle with ALL THREE BARS, letting you use a Super Move as soon as it gets done saying "begin". I frequently use him for countdown battles... I pair him with Batgirl and Killing Joke Joker (sacrificial lamb)... You have two Super Moves almost instantly, letting you focus on taking out one more card before the timer runs down. I have him at E-VI and he's a BEAST. Can't wait to promote him to E-VII
I started playing right after the first Batgirl challenge... about a year ago. I have a full deck... Most of them at E-V a few at E-VI or E-VII. I farm Bonus Battle Six for coins (about 20k/15 minutes) and Battle 36 for Challenge Coins (about 18.5k/15-20 minutes). AOB was initially in the store "for a limited time"... I only managed to get two before he disappeared from the store. When he showed up in the store for the second time, I got nervous and saved up to max him out (old max level) at E-V. I can't wait to promote him to E-VII; however, with the new challenges coming, I banking coins for either New 52 Nightwing or Batman Returns Catwoman (see challenge heads up a few posts ago). Watch for sales in between challenges... You can usually score a 50% off bronze, silver, and gold card so you can promote and progress a little quicker. There was a 62% off sale on Red Som Boosters A LONG TIME AGO... I bought three before the sale ended. Keep grinding... It pays off.
