Holy crap, 17 pages already. Has anybody tried the game on the ancient iPod 4G? Is it fairly smooth?

Edit: Never mind Der-Kleine posted a video. I'll check it out.

Works pretty good, yeah. I said some about it on page 14. And Der-Kleine supposedly posted a gameplay video on iPod Touch 4 on the last page or so.

No not at all, most of the time you are way underpowered and have to literally fight often close to your death.

Overall Experiance so far after playing the Game for more then six Hours:

Since you are fighting now with two Fighters (Siris & Isa) expect even more grinding if you want to stay alive later in the Game and pray that you don`t hit a frustrating Mini-Boss as I did that took me two Hours to finally beat down.

I don`t have a Problem with grinding but it`s more then clear that the Game is missing some Balancing as already the first & second Game had at the beginning to probably force you more then before to buy something with real Money.

    About Money in the Game:

At no point I`m saying that Epic Games or Chair are greedy Bastards but assuming that the Game is bigger then the other two Games together it`s hard to guess why they would literally keep hiting your Ass straight from the beginning with such an high Difficult Level because you are often starving for a few Coins to be able to buy better Gear since you are only getting crap dropped. It`s even worse then in Diablo 3!

About the Monster in the Game:

I mean I can understand that the Mobs are a few Levels above you but you are often fighting against Mobs that are not double your size but more then once 4x - 10x your size and you only stand a chance if you have a perfect round.

    Bugs in the Game:

There are some Issues with the Game on iPads and Isa but besides that I didn`t had a lot that were worth to being mentioned.

    Do I regret buying it:

So far I have really mixed feelings about the Game. Do I like it to play another Game in the Infinity Blade Universe? Yes. Do I believe that it`s unbalanced & still bugged? Yes. Would I tell you to don`t buy it? Still to early to say anything about it. Let`s talk about that topic tomorrow when I have probably managed to play the first time through the Game and know how the replay Value of the Game might be.

So, the question is this or angry birds and £4 left over? Any opinions?

    Hey Der-Kleine,

nice vid. It looks good but videos sometimes don't give you a feel for it. How is it on your iPod touch does it play fairly smooth, how are the frame rates?

    Thanks for the info.

I don't understand how you guys aren't mad at this. This is a great example of why people have issues with IAP. Its not a singular experience. To get to full story and understanding you have to buy companion novels - the game comes with real life timers.

Its not going away, its going to become a hotter issue for a while. Both sides of the fence have great points and are unwilling to budge at this time.

    Someone already defeated the Dragon?

    TIP
There's a basin with water behind the Hill and another one near to the Pillars.
We have to use it before the Dragon spit the fire or start to fly!

It plays smooth, but I should mention that I had to update (and restore) my iPod to be able to play it, so this is running on a freshly installed iOS 6.1.3 and of course I always restart my iPod before I make a video to get the best performance possible. Still, I just launched the game without restarting before hand and it seems to run fine, so performance wise I wouldn't worry too much. I haven't had any crashes yet either. :)

For some reason when I launched the game for the first time every time an achievement poped up the framerate would drop to like 2 fps, but the second time I played it (that session is shown in the video) that didn't happen anymore, so I guess that problem somehow solved itself.

I guess one thing worth noting is that the loading times on the iPod Touch 4 can be quite long.

That's awesome. This game is a prime example on what great optimization can do and that an old device can still play one of the best, if not the best looking game on iOS.

I don't mind being offered the optional IAP. However, I do mind it when devs put up mandatory pay-walls in order to progress. IBIII is so freshly uploaded on my iDevices and I'm at work, so I haven't had the time to give the game a much-needed whirl. Historically, with IB I and II, mandatory pay-wall has not been the case, and I hope it won't be with IB III. I took issue with Gabrien's post because of his wild accusation that those of us who bought the game were irresponsible.

Yeah. Seems cool so far. Like Sanuku said, it seems like a lot of grinding, unless you're really good at the game. This kept me off of Tetris Monsters (Japanese Tetris RPG game) for a while. I'll probably play more tonight. Angry Birds Star Wars II comes out tonight too. Probably going to be global release at 3-4 in the morning like usual. lol I'll probably read reviews first. But, that's enough of that. lol Just excited about new releases.

First I would like to THANK Sanku for your review.
And now I want to add a little too. I read every line and I'm convinced that you didn't actually like the game. I mean to say you didn't got what you expected! But even then I'm gonna buy it. No matter how much you explain to someone that this game is not good it bugs but they are gonna buy it!
I'm not cancelling your review. But if you say don't buy infinity blade to anybody I don't think he'll listen to you. It's just like Apple and Samsung. Samsung offers a lot of more features than Apple but still they don't have lines on the launch. As far as I know.
In the end your review gave me an idea what to expect from IB3 but I'll buy it anyway!
    Thanks once again!

I got eaten once by the Dragon and once I did hit him with overall 1000 Damage.

Let`s put it that Way: After he played a little with me he got bored and flew away.

Hey just got this on my ipod 4 and made it to where Isa wakes up then it crashed and it has been crashing ever since! I have everything closed and have restarted the device as well as going to airplane mode. It has not seemed to work! Is anyone else having this problem? I know others have had it work on their 4th gens! A little help here? Thanks.

and for those iap lovers, this game is a fkn freemium x2,... in ibII you had to spend hundres of real$$ to enjoy the full game with all items and rare stuffs, here you will probaly spend twice. the game is good but wtf is a big freemium and has many bugs and issue
