^Have to agree with Squashy. IB3 is a great game, except for the implementation of chips. Timers are fine, but they should just be skipped with gold, not chips. IB2 is SO MUCH MORE than IB1 was. IB1 didnt even have a proper story as it was like one or two pages in a book if it was in one. For me, IB3 has evolved from decent to great, and even surpassed IB2 now, even with the existence of chips (which i still think sucks), in terms of variety and content. Plus, it's possible we get a few more content updates for IB3 which will improve it some more. After ChAir's vacation, im sure they will take care of the No-Galath bug right away. At least Deathless Mode keeps me busy. Im on my 3rd playthrough of Deathless mode, so im aiming for a full Lv20 gear set for both Isa and Siris before the new year hits.
For me it's IB2 > IB3 > IB1. IB3 just didn't evolve enough. Just a new character that plays exactly like the other one, some new weapons here and there and a lame level/act system where castles don't even have secret rooms or anything to make them less linear, even if it's just a bit less linear. The worst thing is probably that the gameplay didn't get any improvements at all. New magic and that's all, and even then the magic, of course, didn't get the balance it needed in the previous game. Weapon specific combos and enemies changing the weapons in the middle of a battle is not an improvement, that's just some little details for the battles that doesn't change them enough to make them more epic. And don't get me started on the dragon. Just some QTE? Really? And it gets repetitive as hell, and then all you get is a damn gem. No, Chair couldn't make a dragon-like secret weapon or anything like that, no, just a gem. And then the ending couldn't be worse. I was expecting way more than IB2 2.0. After seeing Dungeons being canceled, which looked AWESOME, and no getting any IB game for some time I thought that they were preparing something cool and fresh. Instead, just a recycled game with some changes here and there, one of them being a second currency in a premium game. Just nuts. Losing another save file in a IB game was just the cherry on the cake.
From what I gather you change weapon class randomly midway. Like from heavy to dual. Not sure what triggers it but seems cool so far.
Havent seen it in potion form yet, but from what i gather, it should have a trigger like On Titan Break or On Mega Hit or something similar. Then when it triggers, it will cycle through Light, Heavy and Dual weapons. The weapon it will cycle through is the last weapon you have equipped from that weapon class. Easy way to see which weapons it will swap into is by opening the equips menu, then the first weapon showing on each class when you swipe towards that weapon class.
Greetings, I found the crossbow icon you mentioned and am able to get to the Plains of Koroth as well now; THANKS! Anyone know where the icon for the Dark Citadel is?
NEED HELP OR ADVICE!!! I just re-launched the game, after a crash, and it picked up in a stage that I haven't played in days. When I looked up my characters info it told me that I was L35, but I'm actually L67! Did the game pick up on old cloud backup? Is their anyway to recover my current version, or am I just screwed? I'm playing on a iPad mini and while it plays fine most of the time it does crash a lot. Usually when I'm checking my potions or gems and after I complete another rebirth! I have to relaunch the game a 10+ times a day. over the last day or two I've also had a problem with game center needing to be relaunched into a few times a day.
^ there is a guide about cloud refresh ticket on the IB forum which might help you, but I don't have the link. You still have it easy, lots of people lost their entire save with characters over lv 100. Likewise.
I'm stuck on Ausar in the 1st deathless playthrough. I demolished all the Titans leading up to him but then he just annihilated me in seconds...
Thanks Squashy! I ended up doing a iCloud restore from earlier that day and everything appears to be OK. Probably only lost about an hour of gameplay, although some of it was organizing my gems. Am still having issues getting a constancy cloud connection in the game though. Having issues syncing between my iPad mini and iPhone 5S.
Depending on how one looks at it, each of the IB games can be a weak link really, so on that, nobody's really wrong. The first one was good because of the multiplayer. And, IB was pretty unique when IB1 appeared, effectively creating its own genre in the process. The second one was a huge improvement on IB1 in terms of content and mechanics, but the multiplayer wasnt included in there. Without the multiplayer, some players of IB1 considered IB2 to be just a bigger version of the first, like more of the same, but without the multiplayer. IB3 was a whole lot more in terms of content, but even this statement is pretty subjective. The addition of the dragon was really good despite being just a bunch of QTE sequences, but the second dragon was just a reskin which makes it look like a lazy addition, and a bad one. Personally, i dont mind the QTE fight as it was still pretty enjoyable, but the second dragon did feel lazy, and felt like a pretty bad addition in the end. A lot of the additions are pretty fantastic though, but then there's the existence of the chips, and everything that comes with it (timers being the worst of all). One of these things can be seen as worse than the others, and depending on what it is for each one, makes that IB the weak link for them.
I gave isa a health regen every second potion, she was self healing faster than he could harm her. Also helps to have the right resistance gems or a rainbow one
I haven't tried deathless yet. Are the Titan/Boss levels fixed for the different playthroughs? Does rebirth or character level have any effect? Or will the titans always be the same level (dependent on deathless play through #)?
Im interested in this too, but it may be too late for me to take advantage of anything here. My Siris was Lv196 when i faced Lv11150 Galath on my 4th Deathless mode playthrough.
I'm planning to transfer my save to another device and currently scratching my head about whether iCloud or Gamecenter account triggers the transfer. Also, cloud save is on when the switch is on the left right?
