The gem says that in it's description. If im right in thinking you are asking how to determine whether you are currently indoors or outdoors, the best way is to check the gem out in your inventory. The indoor+ gems will have the effect grayed out outdoors and vise versa. Drem's Maw may look indoors at first as it is somehow inside a cave, but every thing there is outdoors iirc.

I don't think Chair will leave everyone without that unique sword. They will probably help a bit or just repeat the CM some time later, just like in IB2.
Is it just me, or has chair gone crazy!? I just got the equivalent of almost $500 (real money) worth of the secondary currency for doing a clash mobs that needed you to do four parries to get 50k gems.... Wut. I love you, chair.
New Clash Mob has appeared that requires 'Frosted Helm' and I do see no Frosted helm on item list. *cry cry cry*
It's insane! For doing some of the easiest tasks in the game I earned 50k gems and 15mil gold. That's somewhere around $700 worth of iAP. Chair 100% deserved the $7, and I got for 3. I would feel bad, but it's not like they're an indie dev who could use the four more dollars. Really though, I bought the Infinity Blade after two levels. I kinda broke the game, since the bosses now are killed within a few hits, but screw it! I'll play fair next time.
Compared to the money needed to upgrade items to high levels, the presents aren't so overwhelming. Anyway I just got a chance to play IB3 on an iPhone5S and it's INSANE. Graphics are so sharp and them metal shines like the iPhone itself! On top of all the fanciness the game just runs perfect and smooth! It thrills me to imagine how it'd look on an iPad Air!
It's a giveaway. It's not supposed to be difficult. But yes, it is broken at earlier rebirths. Still, if I were you I'd focus on leveling up your lower level gear and upgrading it, it will be much harder to use at later rebirths.
