I think Epic's servers are congested because of the update. I was able to connect and claim the defense gem at the third hour since the update hit (man is my internet slow today ). Now I cant connect to icloud either.
So I took the Documents folder which contains the SAVE folder and replaced the updated app's folders with my old save game... And the app is treating it like it doesn't even recognize that there is a save game at all. Looks like my save is gone now too! ...unless they get that cloud server working again. Eh, if I can't get it working by the end of the day, I'm just deleting it and jumping ship to Republique for my Christmas holiday.
What im thinking is, create a new game which is in the same save slot as the one you've backed up, and before you over write it with the backup, rename the files to match the ones you've recently created. I think file names in IB3's save documents are some sort of IDs. Might even need a hex editor or something if anything inside the files also mention these IDs.
Hell take me... I have re-spec'd Isa's skill points to unlock High Sorceress and she is healing over 5000 hp per tick using the Defend spell. Maybe Holy can be very useful again.
Not a bad idea. And I've done some hexadecimal editing on a couple games. But it can be a huge pain. And if the renaming doesn't work, and the cloud still doesn't work, I'm giving up. I didn't pay to figure out how to restore a save file... I paid to play a game. And something needs to be fixed with it.
Looks like I'll have to try the changing file name thing because even though I finally got it to connect to the cloud, I don't see my character profile or save anywhere. If I have to watch the opening one more time...
Yup. This is infuriating. I replaced some files in that SAVE folder and nothing changes. I replace them all or most of them and the game acts like I didn't already start it. I have no idea how to get my save game back even though I backed it up. I miss the old SwordSave.bin file. Having JUST that file made it easy to constantly back it up. Don't see Chair fixing this. Oh well.
Buying into this for the first time. Stupid Christmas sales. I just spent 30K on a car I cant afford this.

Hrm, I just did the new trial. I did 11 perfect Parys. And the game gave me credit for none of them. Hrm.
This game is so much better than it was before... It's great. U can do a clash mob a load of times and get 100 chips each time. It's awesome
Has anyone tried the deathless mode? how strong are the enemys? I really don't want to lose all my gear... If you compare, the enemy in the 47 Ronin challenge is always at twice as high level as you, but I have never failed finishing him off. (After updating the game started from the beginning but I did find all my save files and could continue from there..)
Their level is about 10 times your level. The main attraction is that there are unique equips that can be bought only while in Deathless mode, and it's pretty rewarding there as i got about 400 chips in the first act alone.
Is it feasible to be able to beat enemies ten times one's level? A combination of being really good and min maxed gear?
