Is it just me or is the swipe detection very hit or miss? It can't be my device, I played it on my iPad 4, with bad swipe detection and my iPhone 5, which is about a month old or so and still, crappy swipe detection. Is it me? Am I that bad at swiping my finger across a screen? I donno man. I feel like having crappy controls are artificially inflating the difficulty for me. Sure, I could just grind some more and lvl up, bud dammit I'm swiping in the right ****ing direction! Also: after I die five times in a row because the game isn't picking up my control input, it's REALLY irritating to be asked "too hard?" Despite all this, I still want to play this game, I just can't stand it for more than a half hour at a time. It's just too damn aggravating
If you hit "too hard" and cancel, the option "try again" should appear. At least it did prior to the update...
If you find it too hard, search for youtube videos on how to defeat that specific titan/boss. TamL's channel is particularly useful because she shows you all the steps slowly.
Vile Set Putting on the Vile Set. does it do anything, like in IB II? You know, you could enter the tomb with the ring...
Try going to the Vault of Tears while wearing it, and let us know if anything happens, bc I don't know
Anyone know if it's possible to defeat the WoS with Radriar during the intro? Just curious as to what happens. I tried. Best I can do is knock of a fraction of a sliver of health.
I managed to drop him to about 1/4th HP (maybe lesser), then the animation continued similarly to how you lose to him.
In response to all the suggestions for dealing with the game being too hard: I don't think he's saying it is "too hard," I think he's actually saying it's frustrating because it isn't "too hard," but his gestures aren't being recognized, and thus the "too hard?" prompts are annoying... lol DBC
Okay, I've played a little with the new update. I have one set of fully upgraded equipment for Siris and Isa, and I have upgraded the Infinity weapons to Lvl 10 too (the infinity duals are in the forge). I'm on awakening 50 for both Siris and Isa, and I haven't met any of the elemental titans or special battle rule titans yet. I fought some in higher level awakenings (near 55), but there aren't any brutalities on 50. I'll play a little more, but it's safe to say that non hardcore gamers should play in the late 40ish awakenings for an easy ride. The titans do not pose any challenge here. Also with two equipped gold +37% gems I can net hundreds of gold in one act, so it's perfectly managable for casual players.
Interesting. I wonder how it's all broken down for each awakening in the latest update. I was playing somewhere around 160 before the update and after the update the titan levels shot up about 300 levels. Also, almost literally ALL titans have one of the new attributes added in the update at that awakening level: super immunity, magic immunity, great block/parry only, perfect block/parry only, elemental titan, resist normal damage and super-fast attacks.
NoooooO! Dual claw wielding titan with super fast attacks has killed me 6 times now. I guess i should've just went light weapon and block everything, instead of trying to skill it out with heavy. EDIT: Yup... killed him first try with a light weapon. Demmet Chair. The difficulty spike in some of these fights are exhausting and is killing a bit of the fun in the game.
I've got so used to using heavy weapons all the time in this game, I wind up forgetting every attack than can be blocked with a heavy weapon but not with light. The only addition I really mind is the normal damage resistant titans; I think those are a really bad idea.
This. The problem isn't that the game is really too hard. The problem is that the controls are getting me killed, consistently.
The difficulty spike is definitely a problem, but I feel like this will be sorted out in a rebalancing update. Does anyone know if people are complaining in the IB forum? On the positive side, I like where this is going. They're adding a lot of variety to previously boring enemies.
I think I figured out why this is happening. The overall difficulty scale was changed dramatically, so that the longer you play, the enemies will gain power exponentially greater than what they gained before. This is because instead of just scaling up the difficulty, Chair used perks in addition to straight stat increases, which adds a ton of challenge to each enemy that just wasn't there before. While I do like this approach, as it prevents the typical "let's just make every enemy take more damage, hit harder, and attack faster" approach to making enemies tougher, it does heavily screw over players at the highest levels of the game, who are feeling the exponential difficulty increase the most. This even hit me kinda hard when I ran into my first "resists normal damage" enemy. Not too sure how to go about fixing this. The only thing I can think of is just to restart from a much lower awakening, when titans will once again be manageable. It would be nice to get some kind of extra reward from killing these special titans. Maybe a battle chip bonus, since adding the special abilities is going to make it much more difficult to complete challenges?
